By pushing forward or to the side for about 10 seconds, you can create epic shots with just these two movements. And don’t worry, if you want to change the direction later, you can easily reverse them in post-production. For a more dynamic shot, try adding a little rotation while panning. With my controls set up like an Xbox controller, it feels familiar and allows for smooth camera movements. With this technique, you can achieve a dynamic level of 1000, making your shots look truly cinematic.
Slowing Down the Footage
An effective way to enhance the cinematic feel of your shots is by slowing down the speed by 50% when shooting at 30 frames per second or higher. The beauty of slowing down your footage is that you don’t need to capture a lot of content to create something amazing. Even just a two-second clip can be slowed down to four seconds, allowing you to capture that perfect moment and stretch it out for an even more dramatic effect. So, always hit the record button as soon as you take off, as you never know when you might find something truly captivating.

When using the DJI Mini 3 PRO, it is important to be cautious when mounting and clipping it onto something, as it may become dislodged. However, once securely mounted, the drone’s self-tracking mode can be quite impressive.
During a test conducted by Corey, the camera was set down and he geared up for an adventurous flight. The objective was to determine the speed at which the drone could track an object while navigating through obstacles.
Testing the Drone’s Speed
Corey was particularly intrigued to see how well the drone would follow him while he ascended a twisting mountain or similar challenging terrain. This test was specifically designed to gauge the drone’s speed capabilities in tracking mode, coupled with its obstacle avoidance feature.
The initial estimate was that the drone could reach a maximum speed of around 50 kilometers per hour, or even 40 kilometers per hour. With these expectations in mind, the test began.
The Test Begins
Corey started moving, and the drone quickly picked up his movements. However, there were moments when the drone experienced confusion, mistaking an object for a car or a bike. Nevertheless, Corey ensured that the camera was recording the entire time.
Despite some instances of confusion, the drone was able to maintain tracking, although it did struggle at times to keep up with Corey’s speed. In this particular test, Corey achieved a speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
Recommended Speeds
Based on this test, it is advised not to exceed speeds of 30 kilometers per hour when utilizing the active track feature. To ensure smooth tracking and obstacle avoidance, it is best to maintain a steady and manageable pace of around 20 kilometers per hour.
During the test, Corey encountered some additional challenges in the form of flies, which distracted him momentarily. Despite these distractions, the test was conducted again to obtain accurate results.

Spotlight means that yeah its the camera is always going to be focused on him. So, no matter where I move my joystick, the camera is always going to be on him. Okay forward, I mean its gon na lose him a little bit here, but it will pan down as far as it can. Yes, thats pretty cool, oh and it just stops it doesnt. Actually, let you go any further, so just go for a like just ride. Really. Slowly, maybe just like cruise around here man, its got him a lot, its checking pretty pretty well one of those sharp lines like this is going to lose them there real clever man.
