T14 Review: A Comparison to T20 and Master Boxer
The Package
Before diving into the T14 review, let’s first discuss what comes in the box. Unlike its predecessor, the T20, the T14 comes with a nice case for storage and transportation. Additionally, you will receive a neck strap, USB-C charging cable, and spare springs. While the T20 did not include these accessories, the T14 ensures that you have everything you need right out of the box.
The Radio
The T14 features a square shape design and comes with a rotating antenna, similar to the first version of the T14. As mentioned in a previous video, this transmitter offers functionality and convenience. It is equipped with a USB-C charging port, making it easy to keep the battery topped up for extended usage.
Optional Upgrades
With the T14, you also have the option to upgrade certain components. The package includes spare switches and switch covers, allowing you to customize your transmitter. These upgrades, however, come at an additional cost, but they offer improved functionality and aesthetics. Switching out the shoulder switches can be done easily, and it provides a personalized touch to your RC transmitter.

Design and Layout
When looking at the product page for the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter, I noticed that it closely resembles the previous Gemini version. The layout, switches, and screen size are quite similar. However, the major difference lies in the screen itself. The T14 features an OLED screen, which is considered superior to the LCD screens found in other radio master devices. Additionally, the T14 has a larger screen compared to the T20, measuring 2.42 inches. The T14’s taller form factor also offers more screen space, sacrificing buttons, sliders, and other additional features.
Gimbal and Controls
The Jumper T14 comes with full-size gimbals, providing a comfortable and precise control experience. The gimbals are advertised as “metal,” but it should be noted that there is still some plastic incorporated in their construction. Despite this, they offer smooth and responsive control for your RC aircraft.
Screen and Display
The OLED screen on the Jumper T14 measures 1.3 inches, showcasing clear and vibrant visuals. It provides essential information and settings for your RC activities. The transition from a smaller OLED screen to the larger 2.42-inch screen on the T14 offers improved visibility and a more immersive experience.
Functionality
The Jumper T14 is compatible with EdgeTX ELRS, allowing for long-range communication with your RC aircraft. This transmitter offers a reliable and stable connection, providing pilots with greater control and range during their flights. With its advanced features and customizable settings, the T14 is a powerful tool for both beginners and experienced RC enthusiasts.
Gimbals
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter comes equipped with Hall sensor gimbals. These gimbals are mostly made of metal, but there is a plastic part included as well. If you prefer non-metal gimbals, Jumper also offers plastic ones with Hall sensors. It seems that the T4 series no longer includes the RDC 90 potenti hammer gimbals. The gimbals on the T14 are full-sized, although they are slightly smaller than the ones on the Radio Master series, making them a good option for those who want something in between mini-sized and full-sized gimbals.
Switches
The T14 transmitter features various switches for different functions. On the left side, there is a latching switch, while on the right side, there is a momentary switch. These switches can be replaced with physical switches at an additional cost. Additionally, there are two-position switches on the right and three-position switches in the middle. The transmitter also includes two centering dials at the top, allowing for precise adjustment and customization of the switches.
Overall Design
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter has a solid and well-built design. The inclusion of Hall sensor gimbals enhances its durability and precision. The choice between metal and plastic gimbals provides flexibility for users to choose based on their preferences and budget. The size of the gimbals falls between mini-sized and full-sized, offering a comfortable grip for users who find full-sized gimbals too large. The selection of switches and the option to replace them with physical switches allows for further customization and personalization of the transmitter.
Momentary switch, two-position switch, and three-position switch
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter comes with various switches that cater to different control preferences. It features a momentary switch, a two-position switch, and a three-position switch. These switches are conveniently located on the transmitter for easy access during flight. Whether you prefer a momentary action or a toggle-style switch, the T14 has got you covered.
Centering dials and finger space
One notable feature of the T14 is its centering dials, which allow you to adjust the tension and centering of the gimbals. This feature ensures that you have precise control over your aircraft or drone. However, it’s important to note that there is slightly more space between the center of the gimbal and the switches compared to other transmitters. This may be a consideration for pinchers who require extra finger space to avoid accidentally hitting the switches. Thumb users, on the other hand, might not find this spacing difference significant.
Ergonomics and comfort
The T14 transmitter is designed with ergonomics in mind. It features a beveled edge that enhances the comfort of holding it during long flights. This bevel is more pronounced compared to other transmitters, such as the Radi Masters. The added comfort provided by the bevel can make a difference, especially for pilots with larger hands. However, individual preferences may vary, and some users might find the difference in comfort negligible.
Spring tension
One characteristic of Jumper transmitters is their looser spring tension compared to other brands like Radi Masters. This looser tension allows for smoother and more fluid stick movements. However, it’s worth noting that the spring tension can be adjusted to suit personal preferences, so you have the flexibility to find the perfect balance between responsiveness and control.
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter offers a range of features that cater to different pilot preferences. From momentary switches to centering dials, this transmitter provides versatility and customizable control. The ergonomic design with a pronounced bevel adds comfort during long flights. Although the spring tension may be looser compared to other brands, it can be adjusted to suit individual preferences. Overall, the T14 is a reliable and user-friendly transmitter for RC enthusiasts.

Radi Master Springs and Buttons
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter is equipped with Radi Master Springs that provide a stiffer feeling. If you prefer this kind of sensation, then the Radi Master Series would be the better option for you. However, it lacks the six buttons found on the bottom of the Radi Master series. The T14 does have 5D trim buttons, but it does not feature the six-position switch present on the Radi Master transmitter. The T14 also has separated Trims for your convenience, unlike the Boxer model.
Button Configuration
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter combines certain buttons that are found separately on other models. For instance, the buttons for your system and model are separated on the Boxer, whereas they are combined on the T14. Similarly, the page up and down functions are now integrated into one button on the Jumper T14. Pressing the button briefly serves as page down, while a long press functions as page up. This button also acts as the back button. Moreover, the Model button requires a short press, while the system button necessitates a long press. These changes effectively consolidate the various buttons into just three on the Jumper T14.
Scroll Wheel and Material
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter still includes a scroll wheel, albeit made of plastic. Although it feels smooth during operation, some users may prefer the Boxer’s metal scroll wheel for its sturdier build and satisfying click. However, the plastic scroll wheel on the T14 does not have any significant issues and performs well. It is important to note that the T14 retains the button action of its predecessor.
Antenna
Unlike the Boxer model, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter features a removable antenna, providing flexibility and convenience. This design allows users to detach the antenna should the need arise.
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter offers a variety of features that cater to different preferences. From the stiffer Radi Master Springs to the consolidated button configuration, the T14 provides a unique user experience. While the plastic scroll wheel may not appeal to everyone, it does not significantly affect the transmitter’s performance. Additionally, the option to remove the antenna adds to the versatility of the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC transmitter.
Design and Antenna
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter may be packed with features, but there are a few design aspects that leave something to be desired. One such aspect is the antenna. Unlike the collapsible antenna found on the Jumper Bite, the T14 EdgeTX sports a fixed antenna that protrudes from the top. While it may not be a deal-breaker for many, some users may find it less appealing.
If you’re not a fan of the built-in antenna, there is an option to replace it. The radio is equipped with small holes on the top that allow for different antenna setups. Simply remove the rubber plugs from these holes and mount your preferred antenna. It’s a simple solution that provides flexibility for those who desire a different antenna configuration.
Firmware Updates and Charging
Jumper ensures that their products remain up-to-date by providing a DFU (Device Firmware Update) button on the T14 EdgeTX. This allows users to conveniently update their firmware whenever necessary, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
Charging the T14 EdgeTX is a breeze with the inclusion of a USB-C port. This single USB-C port serves both charging and data transfer purposes. It’s worth noting that this differs from the RadioMaster, which has separate ports for charging and data transfer. Additionally, the T14 EdgeTX boasts fast charging capabilities of up to 10 watts, resulting in quicker battery replenishment.
Handle and Stand
A notable design feature of the T14 EdgeTX is its collapsible handle. Originally intended as a handle, Jumper decided to provide users with dual handles. This means that the handle can also be used as a stand to prop the radio up. It’s a convenient and versatile design choice that offers multiple usage options.
Larger Battery and Power
The T14 EdgeTX comes equipped with a 2C Li-ion battery, offering users a larger capacity compared to its predecessor. This means longer flight times before needing to recharge.
Powering the T14 EdgeTX is the Express LR module, which boasts an impressive output of up to 1 watt. This improved power output ensures stronger and more reliable signal transmission, allowing for greater range and control during flight.
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is a feature-rich device with a few design quirks. While the fixed antenna and unconventional handle may raise some eyebrows, the ability to switch out antennas, convenient firmware updates, fast charging, and improved power output make the T14 EdgeTX a worthy option for RC enthusiasts looking for enhanced performance and versatility.
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter: A Comprehensive Review
Design and Build
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is available in a 4 GHz version, with options ranging from 9 MHz to 868 MHz. It also boasts a powerful 1-watt capability. The transmitter features a convenient battery tray located behind the door, allowing for easy access and quick battery changes. The tray is designed to accommodate a basic 2s lipo battery, which can be connected using the balance lead on the side. Additionally, the transmitter has a flat surface that allows it to stand up vertically.
Ergonomics
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is equipped with rubberized grips, providing a secure and comfortable hold. When comparing it to other transmitters like the Radi Master, the T14 offers a wider grip, which can be a matter of personal preference. Some pilots may find the narrower grip on the Radi Master to be more suitable, while others may favor the broader grip of the T14. The T14 also features a ledge that allows for a more secure grip for those who prefer the thumstick control style.
User Preference
Personal preference plays a significant role in choosing the right transmitter. While the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter may not be the top choice for individuals who prefer smaller radios, it offers a variety of features that appeal to different pilots. The wider grip and secure thumstick control can be advantageous for users who prioritize comfort and ease of use. Ultimately, finding the right transmitter depends on individual preferences and needs.
Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter Review
Every pilot is different when it comes to choosing their radio transmitter. Whether the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS is the right choice for you, or if you prefer the T20 or the Boxer, is a decision that only you can make. It’s important to find someone who owns one of these transmitters and try it out for yourself to see if you like the way it feels, as each transmitter has a unique feel in the hand.
Weight Comparison
When considering a transmitter, weight is an important factor to take into account. The weight of the transmitter also depends on the battery you choose to use. For example, if you use the 21700 cells, the transmitter can become quite heavy. Without a battery, the T20 weighs approximately 443 grams, while the T14 weighs 471 grams, and the Boxer weighs 532.12 grams.
My Thoughts
After spending some time playing around with the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS, my thoughts haven’t really changed from my initial review video. The feel of the transmitter is similar to the T20, with the same texture and color. The T20 may be slightly darker, though it might not be noticeable on camera. In terms of build quality, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS features the same plastic texture as the T20.
Overall, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS is a reliable and well-designed RC transmitter. However, the ultimate decision on whether it is the right transmitter for you depends on your personal preferences and needs. It’s always recommended to try out different transmitters and see which one feels the most comfortable and suits your flying style.
Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter Review
Design and Ergonomics
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is regarded as a solid option, despite some slight drawbacks in terms of its design and ergonomics. Compared to its counterpart, the T20, some users find that the T14 feels a little bulkier and heavier in their hands. However, it is important to note that this is subjective and might vary from person to person. Some users might prefer the slightly heavier feel, while others may find it less ideal.
Build Quality
In terms of build quality, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is highly praised. It is reported to have a similar build quality to the T20, which is considered very good. The plastic used in the T14 is slightly thinner than that of the T20, giving it a touch more hollowness. However, this does not affect its overall durability or performance.
Weight and Strap Usage
Due to its slightly bulkier and heavier design, some users may find it necessary to use a neck strap while operating the T14 transmitter. This is a personal preference and depends on individual comfort levels. Using a neck strap can alleviate any discomfort caused by the weight of the transmitter and provide better control during usage.
Texture and Colors
The Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter comes in a navy blue color with a textured matte finish. The plastic used in the transmitter has a slight texture, providing a tactile feel while operating it. This textured plastic is similar to the one used in the T20, giving both transmitters a consistent aesthetic appeal. The navy blue color adds a touch of elegance to the T14, making it visually appealing to users.
Overall, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is a reliable option with good build quality and a textured matte finish. While some users may find it slightly bulkier and heavier, it is still considered solid and functional. The design and ergonomics may vary depending on individual preferences, but the T14 remains a popular choice among RC enthusiasts.

Build Quality Comparison
I actually like this color a lot and I’m going to get any kind of bard of black, and this navy blue is definitely pretty nice. But you know again whether or not this is going to be for you, if you’re going to like how this feels in your hand, uh hard to say for sure, you know people will say: oh you know the quality. The build quality of the rain Master is going to be way better. Um. Now, for example, the uh boxer has a max. I guess there’s a Max series out now with the all-metal ag1 H, sensor, gimbals that’s a lot heavier than this one. I don’t have that to compare I’ve heard that one feels really solid as well, but honestly, the build quality between these two radios, the boxer and the T14, not a lot different. This is the standard boxer, I don’t have the max, so I can’t tell you what the difference is in terms of feel it just. They feel really really really similar. I don’t really. I don’t really know how else to explain it in terms of the feel they feel really really similar it’s just that, in the hand, just because the grips are a little bit different size, the gimbals are slightly different, slightly different positions compared to where the switches are. You know those little minute. Things are just very subjective. You know, some people are going to hate them.

Build Quality Comparison
When it comes to the build quality of the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter, opinions may vary. Some individuals believe that it is comparable to other high-end transmitters like the Radio Master, while others may have differing views. From my perspective, the build quality of the Jumper T14 is highly commendable.
Durability
The true test of a transmitter’s build quality is its durability. Though I cannot personally determine how well it would hold up if thrown or dropped, I am fascinated by the idea. If there are individuals out there who have performed such tests, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the videos or outcomes in the comments section. It is my assumption that both the Jumper T14 and Radio Master would have a similar fate in such extreme scenarios. It is unlikely that either one would survive unscathed.
Personal Thoughts
In my opinion, the Jumper T14 EdgeTX ELRS RC Transmitter is an excellent device overall. However, its suitability may vary from person to person. It may be an ideal choice for some individuals, while others may prefer different options. Ultimately, it would be best to try the transmitter for yourself and make an informed decision based on your personal preferences and requirements.
