The XT1 drone is equipped with good quality cameras for recording videos and taking photos. It has brushless motors that provide stability during flight. Additionally, the drone is foldable, making it convenient for transportation and storage.

    Drone Components

When unboxing the XT1 drone, you will find the charger that can be plugged directly into a USB port. The charger is small, so it is important not to lose it as there may not be an alternative way to charge the drone. The remote control included with the drone features sticks for control, a headless mode function, and a speed adjustment button. The headless mode allows for easier control of the drone’s direction, while the speed adjustment button enables selection of different flying speeds based on environmental conditions.

    Design Concerns

One design flaw of the XT1 drone is the phone holder, which may not securely hold larger phones in place. This can result in the phone sliding off during flight, obstructing the user’s view and potentially causing injury. It is recommended to be cautious when attaching a phone to the holder to avoid accidents.

    Calibration and Power

So here is the calibrate button on the XT1 drone. You need to place it on a flat surface and press the button to ensure stability. The power button is located on the same flat round surface and needs to be held for a few seconds to turn on the drone. It may trick some users as the bars they see are not indicators of power, but rather there is a hole on the button to turn it on.

    Functionality

The remote control of the XT1 drone features various functions such as trim for propellers and buttons for take-off and landing. Before taking off, ensure that the drone is properly calibrated and lifted off to an appropriate height. The controls are straightforward, with buttons on both sides for ease of operation.

    Design and Features

The XT1 drone is equipped with brushless motors and propellers, providing a powerful and smooth flying experience. The foldable design makes it convenient for transportation and storage. When folded, the drone reveals a sleek and compact appearance, adding to its overall aesthetics.

    Lights and Indicators

One unique feature of the XT1 drone is its LED lights, with four blue lights at the front and one green light at the back. This not only adds to the visual appeal of the drone but also serves as indicators of its status and orientation during flight. The lights provide both functionality and style to the overall design of the drone.

    XT1 Review

Looking for an affordable drone that delivers decent performance? The XT1 might just be the one for you. Despite its low price tag, this drone offers some impressive features that make it worth considering.

    Design and Build Quality

The XT1 drone is a budget-friendly option made of plastic materials. While it may not have the premium feel of more expensive drones, it is sturdy enough to withstand the occasional bump or crash. The overall design is simple and functional, with a camera mounted on the bottom for capturing aerial shots.

    Performance

The XT1 drone offers a stable flying experience, with minimal lag when streaming live video to your smartphone. The drone can reach up to 180p resolution, which is decent considering its price point. It connects to your device via WiFi, allowing you to control it using a companion app.

    Flight Time and Features

One of the standout features of the XT1 drone is its flight time. With a battery life of 7 to 8 minutes, you can enjoy extended flying sessions without constantly having to recharge. The drone also has altitude hold, which helps maintain its position in the air even when you release the controls.

    Price and Value

At just 100 New Zealand dollars, the XT1 drone offers great value for its price. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end drones, it is a solid option for beginners or casual drone enthusiasts looking for an affordable flying experience.
