The Radiomaster MT12 is a remote control designed for RC cars and boats. It offers enhanced radio signal capabilities and a variety of features that make it a great choice for hobbyists. In this article, we will review the MT12 and discuss its functions and benefits.

How to Set Up the Bind

To configure the bind and install the receiver on an RC car or boat, we will also explore an interesting feature. Once we have inserted our receiver and performed the bind with a Radiomaster box or any Express LRS radio, the beauty is that Radio Master has designed a system for RC cars and boats called GTX with ELRS built-in. We can even take the 4-in-1 version and add an external module for greater functionality. Let’s take a closer look at the radio as it is very well made.

    Content of the Box

When you open the box, you will find a case where you can store your radio. Inside, there is a pocket for accessories, as well as an additional pocket for other items. The radio, lanyard, and other accessories will also come with the box, all of which are of good quality.

    The Accessories

Inside the box, you will find a pre-bound and pre-configured receiver that you can use on your RC car. This is the ER 3ci, which I replaced with another receiver for my setup.

    Upgrades and Compatibility

One of the advantages of the MT12 is its versatility. It comes with an adapter that allows for easy installation. Additionally, it can be paired with an external module, such as the 4 in 1, which allows for binding with multiple toy cars. This modular design gives users the flexibility to add additional features like ELRS (Extended Long Range System) at a later stage.

    Convenience and Customizability

The MT12 is equipped with a rechargeable cable, ensuring convenience during use. It also offers upgrade options in case the default switches are not sufficient. Users can add switches to the front of the controller to meet their specific needs. Detailed information and instructions for these upgrades can be found on the manufacturer’s website.

Review: Radiomaster MT12 RC Remote Control for Better Radio Signal: Bind ELRS Setup

Today, we will be taking a closer look at the Radiomaster MT12 RC remote control for cars and RC boats. This review will focus on the bind ELRS setup and how it can enhance your radio signal. Let’s dive right in!

    Entering Bind Mode

First, let’s start by quickly entering the bind mode on your receiver. You will notice a rapid flashing light, indicating that it is ready to bind. Now, let’s proceed to bind it with the radio and wait for the light to become steady.

    Binding Process

Great! The steering has moved, confirming a successful bind. Now, you will notice a solid red LED on the receiver and the radio will also indicate a signal connection on its display. If you want a more detailed explanation on this process, I had to briefly change some settings on the radio to ensure a proper setup. Let me know in the comments if you would like further information on this topic.

    Binding with Other Receivers

For those of you who have other receivers, let me explain how to bind them as well. Enter the Express LRS menu on your radio, click on “bind,” and then power cycle your vehicle three times. After this, your receiver will enter bind mode with a flashing light. Simply click “bind” on your radio and voila! You should now have a successful connection.

    Telemetry with Receivers

Now, let me share a neat feature that comes with the receivers – a telemetry cable. This red cable allows you to read the battery telemetry of your vehicle, even when you are unsure of the battery’s status. To make use of it, simply connect the red wire to the designated pin on the receiver. For example, with a 2S battery, you should connect it to the third pin.

By balancing the Lipo battery using the last red wire, you can easily keep track of its performance. This simplifies the process and ensures a safer RC experience. Remember, when connecting the wire to the balance port, make sure your vehicle is off.

    New Sensor: Telemetria
