Myphitic Blight-hauler Model Review
Myphitic Blight-hauler
The Myphitic Blight-hauler is an impressive demon engine that is as deadly as it is durable. Painted in a simple white color scheme, this model stands out on the tabletop. Its design includes a unique fleshy appendage behind it, adding a touch of grotesque detail.
Features and Details
One notable feature of the Myphitic Blight-hauler is the presence of a fuel container, which generates power for its turbine. This detail not only adds to the realism of the model but also showcases the attention to detail by the designers.
Additionally, the Blight-hauler’s symbol of a fly in front of it gives it a distinct character. The resemblance to a mosquito’s head further enhances the eerie appeal of this demon engine.
Painting and Color Choices
Although the Myphitic Blight-hauler is painted in a relatively simple white color scheme, it still manages to captivate the eye. The choice of colors, including the fleshy appendage, creates a striking contrast and adds to the model’s overall appeal.
However, it is worth noting that some hobbyists may find the use of multiple colors on this model to be excessive. Despite this minor concern, it is undeniable that the Blight-hauler remains an interesting and intimidating sight on the battlefield.

Assembly and Design
When assembling the Myphitic Blight-Hauler and Foetid Bloat-Drone models, I made a mistake which resulted in a white gap. However, I don’t think this is a major problem and can be considered as a crack. After all, these models are demon engines and they possess a unique design with three tracks and an unconventional front structure. The Myphitic Blight-Hauler appears slightly larger, but it could be due to the color scheme. Furthermore, there are flesh-like protrusions on the front armor and inside the melag gun, adding a gruesome touch to the overall aesthetic.
Model Features
Both the Myphitic Blight-Hauler and Foetid Bloat-Drone models are impressive in their own right. The Myphitic Blight-Hauler is specifically designed as a tank hunter for your Death Guard army. In the 10th edition, when attacking a vehicle, you gain a +1 bonus to your wound rolls. This unique ability can leave your opponents scratching their heads. Another interesting aspect is that you can field three Myphitic Blight-Haulers in a single squad, further increasing their effectiveness on the battlefield.
Differences in Role
While both the Myphitic Blight-Hauler and Foetid Bloat-Drone models are demon engines, they serve different roles on the tabletop. The Myphitic Blight-Hauler is a tank hunter, as mentioned earlier, with its ability to boost wound rolls against vehicles. On the other hand, the Foetid Bloat-Drone is primarily a ground unit with limited mobility. Despite this, both models share a movement characteristic of 10, allowing them to traverse the battlefield with ease.
Overall, these models are a great addition to any Death Guard army. Their unique abilities and gruesome design make them stand out on the tabletop. Whether you prefer the tank hunting capabilities of the Myphitic Blight-Hauler or the ground-based versatility of the Foetid Bloat-Drone, these demon engines are sure to leave a lasting impression on your opponents.

One such configuration is turning it into a long-range attacker by equipping it with the Heavy Blight Launcher. The Myphitic Blight-hauler Model Review
If you can look closely, you will notice that I don’t possess a Steady Hand, which limits my ability to reach narrow areas while painting. This poses a challenge for me as I have to paint in places that I can easily reach. However, even those areas present their own difficulties. For instance, inside the mouth of the model, you can see remnants of white and grayish primer that I was unable to fully paint over. Additionally, if you observe closely behind the mouth, you’ll notice some white paint that I was unable to reach. Another challenging area is the track of the model, which is also hard to access. Unfortunately, I neglected to paint a certain part of the model green, leaving it only partially painted. Lastly, the narrow cables of the model proved to be the most problematic for me. While painting them in a single color would not pose any issues, using multiple colors became quite challenging due to their slimness.
The Foetid Bloat Drone Model Review
For the Foetid Bloat Drone model, I cannot recall which areas presented challenges as it has been quite some time since I painted it. However, I must mention that I didn’t encounter any major issues while painting this model, except for one. The cables proved to be the most difficult to paint due to their narrowness. Painting them in a single color would not pose any problems, but if you wanted to use multiple colors, it would be quite challenging. Overall, the Foetid Bloat Drone model was a relatively easier model to paint compared to the Myphitic Blight-hauler.
