Upon opening the box of the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone, I found the contents neatly packed and easily accessible. The drone itself was securely held in place without any zip ties, making it convenient to remove and set up quickly. The charging cable and spare propellers were also included in a separate box, adding to the overall organized unboxing experience.

    Setting Up the Drone

Setting up the drone was a straightforward process, requiring the insertion of three alkaline batteries into the remote control. The clear instructions provided made it easy to install the batteries correctly, ensuring that the drone could be operated efficiently. The simplicity of the setup added to the user-friendly nature of the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone.

Once the drone was powered up and ready to go, I was impressed by its flight performance. The drone was responsive to the controls, allowing for smooth maneuverability and precise movements. The range of the remote control was adequate, giving me the confidence to fly the drone without any issues. Overall, I found the flight performance of the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone to be satisfactory.

    Features and Functionality

In terms of features and functionality, the drone offered a few basic capabilities such as 360-degree flips and LED lights for added visibility. While these features were fun to experiment with, I wished that the drone had more advanced capabilities to enhance the overall flying experience. Despite this, the basic features provided a decent level of entertainment value.

    Charging and Battery Life

The Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone is easy to charge, taking approximately 80 minutes to reach a full charge. It is recommended to charge the drone for at least an hour before using it. However, one drawback is that the drone does not have a battery indicator, so users have to guess how much charge is left. The light on the cable indicates when the drone is charging and turns off when it is fully charged.

    Remote Control Features

The drone comes with a remote control that has various features for easy maneuvering. It has buttons for orientation, allowing users to control the drone’s movements easily. There is also a stunt button that enables the drone to perform different tricks when pressed along with a direction control. The remote control provides a smooth flying experience, making it user-friendly for beginners.

    Flight Performance

The Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone provides a fun and engaging flying experience. It responds well to the controls on the remote, allowing users to perform different stunts and maneuvers effortlessly. The drone is durable and can withstand crashes, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Overall, the flight performance of the drone is impressive, providing hours of entertainment for users of all ages.

    Overall Impression

Despite the lack of a battery indicator and some initial setup time, the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone is a great value for the price. It offers exciting features, easy maneuverability, and impressive flight performance. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced drone pilot, this drone is sure to provide endless fun and excitement. I highly recommend the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone to anyone looking for a quality drone at an affordable price.

    Flight Performance

Back this is height orientation. Already I dont know what front trim right, trim left trim right trim. Does I dont know Auto Land Auto, take off its a bit nasty Auto, take off in the house because it hit the fan and you get scared. You got emergency. Stop very important, and you have Auto orientation which is pretty annoying. I dont like to use it. What it just does is usually the blue might be facing you. So when you press the forward button, it just goes forward and press the back button. It just goes back, but sometimes you back be like this. You be confused so just to stop that you got to turn on auto orientation. So when forward, what whenever Wasing it always go forward, but its a bit finicky, so um yeah quality wise.

    Build Quality

The Drone Im not talking about is the next I forgot so um drone is pretty good. Honestly, it flies well good. Little beginner drone um its a drone isnt it. It has SP propells, because you need them because M already been damaged two days. It is a bit unpredictable, but Ill talk about that in another segment.

    Features

Segment, doesnt have USB micro. Usb has a Kaz proprietary thing: um yeah its a pretty also it has a speed button, one click and you get one beep and that will be the first Lev of speed. Two clicks, two beep second level speed three clicks equals no think click it again.

    Speed and Auto Orientation

I get three beeps and that is the third level of speed, and if you turn on auto orientation, it will notify you every 6 seconds. This feature is quite useful in maintaining control of the drone during flight.

    Quality and Material

Let’s talk about the quality of the drone. It is made of plastic, but it is designed more for beginner entry-level users. The material feels nice and has a rubbery texture which makes it impact-proof. The screws are sturdy and overall construction seems durable. The drone also has sensors, so if you start spinning the propellers and put your hand in, it will stop immediately for safety. This feature adds an extra layer of protection, especially for inexperienced users. The drone also has a good speed capability, however, the speed control may take some getting used to.

    Build Quality

It is decent. It feels like it’s built pretty well, it is a bit bendy, but it’s a drone. The plastic on the prop feels a bit cheap, but I guess it’s meant to be expandable.

    International Drone

This is an international drone. You know why? Because I said so. I don’t think Sharper Image sells this anymore, but you can still buy it. I think it’s $30. If you can’t, I feel bad for you. Overall, it is a pretty well-built drone and it’s pretty good at the lower end for beginner pilots.

    Beginner-Friendly

This drone is very good for beginners. I got the hang of flying this thing pretty quickly. Speaking of flying, let’s get to flying it.

    Flying Experience

Okay, so I’m going to try and keep it in frame here. It’s not even close to in frame. Let me just adjust it… there we go. It’s a pretty good drone to learn with and it’s fun to fly. However, the flying experience might be a bit of an issue if you are trying to perform stunts. Make sure to use it in a wide-open space to avoid any accidents.

    Overall Impression

In general, this drone is a very good option, even for beginners. While there may be some minor complaints about it, it’s still a very good drone for its price point. If you’re looking to get into flying drones, the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone is a solid choice.

    The Issues with Low Battery

There are a few issues that arise when the battery of the Sharper Image GLOW Stunt Drone gets low. When the front propeller stops working, the drone can struggle to move and might even spin uncontrollably in an attempt to go up. This lack of power can make it difficult to control and maneuver the drone effectively.

    Physical Wear and Tear

Aside from the battery-related problems, the drone also experiences physical wear and tear. The fans of the drone may fall off, and the overall build quality could deteriorate over time. This can impact the drone’s performance and stability during flights. It’s important to regularly check and maintain the physical components of the drone to ensure optimal performance.

    Unpredictability

One of the most concerning aspects of the Sharper Image GLOW Stunt Drone is its unpredictability. As seen in videos of the drone in action, it can behave erratically and inconsistently. This unpredictability seems to have worsened over time, potentially due to battery issues or damage to the drone itself. It is important to be cautious and attentive when flying the drone to avoid any accidents or malfunctions.

    Stunt Performance

Despite its flaws, the Sharper Image GLOW Stunt Drone does offer a stunt feature. Attempting stunts with the drone can be exciting, but it also comes with risks. The drone may flip or behave unexpectedly during stunts, so it is crucial to be prepared for any sudden movements. The drone’s durability, thanks to its plastic construction, can withstand minor crashes or drops, making it somewhat forgiving when attempting complex maneuvers.

    Satisfactory Fun Toy

Overall, the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone is a pretty satisfactory toy. It is one of the most fun things we have and a favorite toy right now. It is very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend it.

    Flight Time Issue

However, the biggest drawback of this drone is its limited flight time. It only provides about 7 minutes of coherent flying time. Personally, I like to fly it for a bit, land, and then fly again to extend the playtime to around 15 minutes. But the real issue is the long charging time. It takes 120 minutes according to the manufacturer, but in my experience, it could take around 110 or 115 minutes. A bigger battery would definitely improve the overall experience of using this drone.

    Feature Highlights

Let’s talk about some features of the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone. It comes with Auto orientation and gyro stabilization, which helps to maintain stability during flight. The gyroscopic stabilization feature is quite helpful in keeping the drone steady while in the air.

    Assisted Landing

The Sharper image GLOW stunt drone comes equipped with an assisted Landing feature, which is demonstrated by the Auto Land function. This makes landing the drone much easier and helps prevent any accidental crashes.

    Lights

One of the standout features of this drone is its lights. The drone is equipped with advanced Safety Landing pegs that are illuminated, making it easier to see and control the drone, especially in low light conditions.

    Long Range Control

The drone is controlled using a 2.4 GHz long range control, allowing for distances of up to 150 ft. This gives the pilot plenty of room to maneuver the drone and perform stunts without losing control.

    Charging Time and Flight Time

The charging time for the Sharper image GLOW stunt drone is approximately 80 minutes, which is relatively quick compared to other drones on the market. The flight time is approximately 7 minutes, but some users have reported getting up to 15 minutes of flight time.

    Overall Impression

Overall, the Sharper image GLOW stunt drone is a great option for beginners or those looking for a fun and affordable drone. While the battery life could be improved, the drone offers a lot of features for its price point. It is a great way to get started with drone flying and offers plenty of enjoyment for users of all skill levels.

    Conclusion

After testing out the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone, I can say that it is a decent choice for beginners or casual drone enthusiasts. The easy setup, responsive controls, and simple features make it a fun toy to fly around and experiment with. However, if you’re looking for more advanced features and functionality, you may want to explore other options on the market. Overall, the Sharper Image GLOW stunt drone offers a satisfactory flying experience for its price point.
