Takeoff Troubles
The drone is not the easiest to handle. You have to be careful with it as it has a tendency to fly towards cyclists and obstacles if not controlled properly. Pressing the right buttons is vital for a successful takeoff. On our first attempt, we managed to get it up in the air, but it struggled against the wind.
Unresponsive Controls
At times, the controls were unresponsive, making it difficult to maneuver the drone properly. We encountered issues where the drone locked itself and required manual unlocking. Even after unlocking, it still didn’t perform as expected. It was a challenge to get it to fly in the desired direction.
Poor Battery Life
The drone’s battery life is disappointing. It didn’t last very long, and we had to recharge it frequently. In some instances, the drone even stopped functioning due to low battery. This significantly limited our flying time and overall experience.
Lack of Lights
Another drawback of this drone is the absence of lights. It made it difficult to track the drone’s movement, especially in low light conditions. This affected our ability to control and monitor the drone effectively.
Chinese Drone: RX #drone Review
Wi-Fi Connection and Recording
The Chinese drone instructions were followed and the Wi-Fi connection was established. The video recording commenced as expected. However, despite switching the padlocks on and off and attempting an automatic takeoff, nothing happened. Nevertheless, it continued to film, giving us a brief glimpse of our surroundings.
Calibration and Functions
Next, we attempted to calibrate the compass by pressing the calibrate geomagnetics button. We also tried taking a photo and recording a video using different speeds. The drone did respond to our commands for moving up and down, rotating left and right, and moving forwards and backwards. However, it failed to hover when instructed to do so.
No Response, Unwanted Sounds
Despite our efforts, the drone seemed unresponsive. No matter what we tried, it simply refused to comply. Suddenly, we were greeted with a different sound, suggesting a change in mode. It turned out to be a fast mode, as the trees above us quickly passed by. This unexpected change had been mentioned in the Chinese instructions.
Troubleshooting and Clearing Sensors
In an attempt to rectify the situation, we decided to clear the sensors, camera, ground sensors, and lights. Hopefully, this would allow the drone to function properly once again.
Unfortunately, the drone’s performance left much to be desired. Despite initially recording the video, it failed to respond to basic commands and lacked stability while hovering. The unexpected change in mode was also a cause for concern. Overall, it was a disappointing experience with the Chinese RX #drone.
The Flown Chinese RX Drone: An Honest Review
Hub Rotation and Propeller Integrity
Make that clear. If you check for Hub rotation, they check for propeller Integrity. All looks good little bite out of that one, because its just its a a concrete ballad, its got an antenna there, which is Tiny But thats, probably related to the quarter.
Unlocking and Loading Data
What a load of bollocks see. What Im saying people right unlock come on James right, which way right so were unlocking it? Have we switched the bag around switch the bugger on no long old right so switched on we unlocked, we are, I was loading data.
Recording Video and Battery Levels
Is it right were gon na record video were unlocked? We do slide to the right bicycle. Oh yeah, oh yeah, all right, okay were going slide to the right up. Leave it is it on lights, on lights are on battery charged. You you dont know: youve got the battery look. I will open hello, Billy Bobs. What are you doing friend here bill? What are you doing built?
Flight Experience
Look at that its gon na fly like you, what are you doing? My little flying friends you go flying with hey what baby. No I fit him off right right, lock, unlock, slides it. Battery strength was good on both well thats, oh and were up down Music Music. He has no control well, grab it out. There no control at all. Okay, no wait a minute. I can see it when it comes down Ill grab it.

No Rotation on Phone Pad
I have tried everything to get the drone to rotate using the phone pad, but to no avail. There is no rotation control, no ability to move up and down, and no option to move forward or backward. It seems that the drone is just wandering aimlessly, with no response to my commands.
Lack of Control
Switching off the phone pad doesn’t make any difference. I still have no control over the drone. It’s frustrating to see it flying around without any purpose. I keep asking myself if there’s something I’m missing, but I didn’t send it off in the wrong direction or anything like that.
The Great Escape
Trying to bring the drone down is a challenge. It seems to have a mind of its own and doesn’t come down quickly enough. It’s like trying to catch something elusive in the sky. I hope it doesn’t end up getting stuck in a tree or on top of a building.
No Detection Mode
I thought the drone had a detection mode, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t find any indication that it has detected any obstacles. This is concerning, as it means the drone can potentially collide with objects and cause damage.
Locked in Circles
I try to get the drone to do a circle, but it doesn’t respond. It’s as if it’s locked and unable to rotate. I’m unable to control its movements and it’s frustrating to see it just hovering in one spot.
A Bumpy Flight
The drone ends up hitting three different objects, including a holly bush. I try my best to avoid it going into a ditch, but I can’t control its movements effectively. It’s like the drone has a mind of its own and ignores my commands.
Final Resting Place
After a chaotic flight, the drone comes to a stop. It’s still spinning, but at least it’s not crashed. I try to stop the spinning, but it doesn’t respond. It’s frustrating to see it continue recording while being out of control.
A Disappointing Experience
This drone has been a disappointment. It’s clear that it lacks the necessary features for smooth and controlled flights. I’m left wondering what went wrong with this particular model and why it’s not functioning properly. If anyone has any insights or solutions, please let me know.
Pressing Buttons and Moving Controls
We started pressing that button, and suddenly, things began to happen. We couldn’t comprehend what was going on as we tried moving various controls, but nothing seemed to work. It left us wondering what went wrong. We had the Wi-Fi connected and the GPS activated, hoping for a seamless experience. Unfortunately, no matter our efforts, we didn’t see any progress. The frustration was starting to build; we needed a solution.
Dealing with Frustration
One of us was losing patience with the failing technology. It seemed that Charlie, who has zero tolerance for such situations, was nearing the edge. However, instead of giving up, we decided to take a step back and calm down. We wanted to persevere and master this technology, even if it meant facing setbacks along the way.
The Determined Approach
Charlie had a plan. He was going to start the drone and get the baseball. We didn’t fully understand his reasoning, but we trusted his determination. We knew that giving up would be the easy way out. Instead, we decided to support Charlie’s idea and see where it led us.
Seeking Improvement
As we continued to tackle the challenges with the drone, we realized that having just one device functioning properly would make a significant difference. It would provide us with an opportunity to learn, improve, and take full advantage of the available resources. We were willing to put in the effort and not let setbacks deter us.
Embracing Possibilities
Charlie suggested leaving the drone up and off at the load park while we explored other options. This way, we wouldn’t lose hope and could come back to it when we were ready. It was a wise decision as it allowed us to focus on other tasks and make progress in different areas. We were determined to make the most of our time and not let technology stand in our way.
The Chinese BY RX drone proved to be a challenging and unsatisfactory product. Its performance was hindered by unresponsive controls, poor battery life, and the lack of lights. While it may have some potential, it requires significant improvements to meet the standards of a reliable and user-friendly drone.
As we navigated through the challenges and frustrations, we realized that perseverance and a determined approach are essential when dealing with failing technology. It may take time and patience, but with the right mindset, we can overcome obstacles and master new technologies. So next time you face a similar situation, remember to keep going and embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.
