In this article, I’ll be providing an exclusive overview and in-depth review of the FIFISH E-GO, an industry-leading professional-grade underwater drone. Let’s delve into the features and capabilities that make the FIFISH E-GO a standout choice for underwater exploration and inspection.

    Unboxing the FIFISH E-GO E100

Now let’s check what comes with the basic kit of FIFISH E-GO E100. The package includes the chargers for the remote controller and the drone, dual batteries for the drone and the remote controller, tether cables and tether spool, a toolbox, a cleaning cloth, and a user manual.

    Features of FIFISH E-GO E100

The FIFISH E-GO E100 features a compact and lightweight design, making it easy to transport and operate. It comes with a six-propeller design that enables yaw, pitch, and roll motions of the drone, allowing for a complete 360-degree motion for precise navigation underwater. The FIFISH E-GO also comes with the QYSEA patented Q-Steady 3.0 self-stabilization AI technology, which enables the drone to stabilize itself against underwater currents and changing water flow.

    Camera and Lighting

At the front, the FIFISH E-GO E100 is equipped with two pairs of LED lights, providing a combined maximum brightness of 10,000 lumens to light up and provide clear vision underwater. The camera can shoot up to 4K 30 FPS videos and give you a 160-degree field of vision above water and a wide 146-degree field of vision underwater. The camera has a focus range of up to 10 cm, allowing for a close macro view of objects underwater, suitable for inspection and studies.

    Features and Specifications

The FIFISH E-GO E100 underwater drone boasts an impressive array of features, including AI assistant capabilities for its camera. With AI image enhancement, dehazing, visual object lock, fish counting, and length and area calculations, this drone offers advanced imaging technology.

It also has attachment ports for top head payloads and interfaces for connecting additional accessories. The drone can accommodate up to six different payloads simultaneously, with a maximum payload capacity of 5 kgs. This makes it versatile for various underwater tasks.

    Payload Options

QYC provides a wide range of payloads suitable for different underwater operations, such as various grippers, arms, multi-angle cameras, additional lights, mud samplers, water samplers, pH sampler tools, and more. These options give users flexibility in customizing the drone for their specific needs.

    Battery System

The FIFISH E-GO E100 comes with a dual battery system, allowing for seamless swapping of batteries without the need to power off or restart the drone. With a fully charged pair of batteries and the optional QYC rapid charger, users can enjoy an operational duration of up to 150 minutes. Each battery can be charged from 0 to 90% in just 50 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime.

    Tether Connection

At the back of the drone, there is a port for charging and connecting the tether, which is essential for operating the underwater drone and remote controller. The tether provides a stable connection between the drone and controller, ensuring uninterrupted communication and control during underwater missions.

    Communication and Control

Unlike aerial drones, underwater drones require a tether for reliable communication and control as radio frequency signals do not travel well underwater. The FIFISH E-GO E100 comes with a tether to ensure seamless communication between the drone and the remote control.

    Controller Design

The design of the remote controller for the FIFISH E-GO E100 is ergonomic and user-friendly. The controller does not have an inbuilt screen but allows you to connect your smartphone or tablet using the FIFISH app available on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Your smart device can be securely placed on the clamp provided on the controller for easy access.

    Control Features

The FIFISH app offers various control settings for customization based on your preferences. You can choose from different operational modes such as Attitude Mode (A), Sport Mode (S), and VR Headset Mode (C). The LED control switch allows you to adjust the brightness, and there are buttons on the controller for capturing photos and videos with ease.

    Additional Features

There are specific buttons on the remote controller for powering the drone, activating the depth lock, and engaging the propeller lock. It is crucial to ensure that the propeller lock is always enabled when the drone is outside the water to prevent any accidents. To set up the FIFISH E-GO E100, connect the tether cable to the port located towards the back of the drone to avoid overheating of the motor.

Setting Up the FIFISH E-GO E100 Underwater Drone

Keep aside the security cable plug in the other and tighten it securely. Now, connect the remote to the TS pool via the interface on this pool. Remove the security caps and set them aside. Connect and secure the cable tightly. Now, connect the jacket of the cable to the port provided behind the remote controller. Before doing so, it is advised to tie a knot around the handle of the remote controller to avoid accidental unplugging of the cable.

Connecting the Fish App to the Remote

Once the connection between the drone and remote is in place, it’s time to connect the Fish app to the remote. Connect your device to the remote’s Wi-Fi by switching on the remote and pressing the power button for 5 seconds. Search and connect your device to the remote Wi-Fi network named “Wi-Fi, RC of fish RC” by default. The password is 12345678 on your keypad. Once that’s done, click the connect button on the app to control the FIFISH E-GO drone. You can control all the features of the drone using the app such as AI camera features, payload, and drone orientation, etc.

    Calibrating the Drone

It is advised to calibrate the drone before each mission. The calibration is also done through the app. Select the drone icon from the settings option and choose between two sets of calibration: gyro axis calibration and mag calibration. First, select the gyro axis calibration and follow the drone placement instructions as prompted. First, place the drone horizontally on a flat surface and then hold the drone vertically as instructed. Next, choose the mag calibration and follow the instructions by rotating the drone horizontally and vertically twice as prompted.

    Calibration and Setup

The calibration is completed, the Drone is all set to dive. Overall, the FIFISH E-GO E100 is a fantastic device for underwater exploration and filming. Its sleek design, high definition camera, easy to use controls, and optional add-ons make it a versatile tool for both beginners and professionals.

    Customization and Usage

You can customize the FIFISH E-GO E100 to suit all your needs, making it a great choice for underwater inspection, monitoring, retrieval operations, sample collection, etc. Its advanced features and functionality allow for a wide range of applications in various industries.

    Versatility and Performance

The FIFISH E-GO E100 offers exceptional performance in underwater environments, providing clear and detailed footage for recording or live streaming. Its maneuverability and stability make it easy to control, even in challenging conditions.
