    Testing the 25 milliwatt VTX

Read moreWhat is the BEST MINI DRONE? | DJI Mini 2 SE vs DJI Mini 3 Pro vs CFLY Faith Mini

I decided to test out the 25 milliwatt VTX behind the shed. Surprisingly, it performed well in that area, with just a slight stack in the video. However, I usually experience video loss when flying in the vicinity of the back fence. But with the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3, it managed to slow down enough to maneuver through small gaps and obstacles. The flight lines were smooth, giving me the confidence to fly under the trampoline and even attempt flying through tight spaces, which I wouldn’t typically do with my other whoops.

Angle Mode – Perfect for Beginners

For beginners just starting out in FPV, the Hummingbird V3’s angle mode is an excellent choice. The flight characteristics in this mode feel incredibly stable and locked in. I felt comfortable and in control, allowing me to navigate through different areas with ease. The drone’s performance exceeded my expectations and gave me a great flying experience.

    Switching to Acro Mode

Now it’s time to switch to acro mode. With air mode activated on the OSD, the drone transforms into a beast, with a significant speed increase. The acceleration is so fast that if I were unfamiliar with the flight lines, I would probably end up crashing. However, since I’ve flown this drone countless times in my backyard, I have a good grasp of its capabilities. It remains stable and locked in, even when performing complex maneuvers such as tree flips. The Hummingbird V3’s bottom-end power allows me to confidently clear obstacles without any issues.

    A Successful Split S

Impressed with its performance, I decided to attempt a split S over some nearby grapes. The maneuver executed flawlessly, showcasing the drone’s agility and responsiveness. It was a thrilling experience, and I started wondering what else this powerful little drone is capable of.

Overall, the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 has proven itself to be one of the fastest whoops I’ve flown. From its reliable performance in angle mode to its impressive speed and maneuverability in acro mode, this drone is a top performer. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced FPV pilot, the Hummingbird V3 is definitely worth considering for your next flying adventure.

    Review: NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is no doubt one of the fastest whoops I’ve ever flown. In this review, we will take a closer look at its power and performance.

    Power Loop Test

First, let’s talk about the power loop. I attempted it right at the start and unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned. The setup wasn’t right, but I gave it another try. This time, the whoop performed brilliantly. Although there was a slight shutter upon coming back around, it handled the maneuver without any issues.

The flight control of the Hummingbird V3 is impressive. It can split “ass” (or pass) like a champion and handles everything at top speed. I was amazed by how well it performed. In a familiar racing course, this whoop would dominate all day long.

As I flew through the backyard, I could feel the adrenaline rush. The speed and agility of the Hummingbird V3 were off the charts. Even when I accidentally hit a tree head-on, the flight controller remained stable. Many whoops tend to lose control when they touch something, but not this one. It’s a relief to know that the flight controller on the Hummingbird V3 is reliable.

    Impressive Maneuverability

The Hummingbird V3 is not only fast but also highly maneuverable. Its ability to split through trees and maneuver back under them is fantastic. It feels great to fly, especially for someone with a lot of flying experience. Compared to the AcroBee, the Hummingbird V3 stands out as the superior choice.

Review of the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3

    Flight Performance

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is an impressive little quadcopter that offers great power and flight performance. Despite its small size, it has a good amount of power and can handle freestyle flights with ease. During our flight tests, we did not experience any tumbling or washout, which is a common issue with tiny whoops due to wind resistance. This quadcopter manages to maintain stability and control even in windy conditions.

    Flight Time

One of the most impressive aspects of the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is its flight time. With a 1s 300 milliamp battery, you can expect to fly for around 2 minutes and 45 seconds, which is great for a whoop weighing around 30 grams. However, if you are not flying aggressively and performing power loops, you can extend the flight time to around three and a half minutes with one of the Nitro nectar batteries.

    Specs and Overview

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 weighs 22 grams without a battery, and when equipped with a 1s 300 milliamp battery, it weighs around 30.6 grams in total. It is priced at around $89.99 and comes with brushless newbie drone hummingbird V3 Motors, which are zero. Eight zero, two twenty-five thousand KV. The quadcopter features three screws on the bottom and ASI props.

In conclusion, the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is a lightweight and powerful quadcopter that offers impressive flight performance and flight time. Its small size does not compromise its power or stability, making it a great option for freestyle flights. With its affordable price and high-quality components, it is definitely worth considering for drone enthusiasts.

    Design and Features

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is equipped with three-blade ASI props, which provide excellent performance during flight. The canopy is made of injection-molded plastic and is held in place by three bolts, making it easy to remove. This allows access to the true AIO (All-In-One) board, which houses the flight controller, 25 milliwatt VTX (Video Transmitter), elrs SPI receiver, and LEDs. The integration of these components not only saves space but also reduces the weight of the drone.

The drone weighs around 21.77 grams to 23 grams, as advertised on NewBeeDrone’s website. Our own tests confirmed this weight range, which is impressive for a drone of its capabilities. The inclusion of a gold USB connector and color-coded motor connectors adds a touch of premium quality to the Hummingbird V3.

    Flight Performance

When flying in angle mode, the Hummingbird V3 performs exceptionally well, especially in smaller spaces such as backyards or indoor settings. The flight controller is responsive and provides a stable flight experience, allowing for precise control during freestyle maneuvers. Whether you’re performing flips, rolls, or other acrobatic moves, this drone serves as an excellent acro trainer.

The factory tune on the Hummingbird V3 is well-optimized, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable flight experience without the risk of washout, even in slight wind conditions. This makes it a reliable choice for beginners and experienced pilots alike.

Gold Plated Connectors for Improved Performance

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is equipped with gold plated connectors, which are known for their ability to prevent power loss. These connectors ensure that the amps continue to flow through the battery, resulting in a stable and uninterrupted power supply. The sustained current draw of 4.3 volts and stable current of 8.5 amps at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius further highlight its impressive performance.

Comparing Performance with the Beta FPD BT 2.0

While the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 offers excellent performance, it is worth noting that it may have slightly less performance compared to the beta fpd BT 2.0. However, this slight difference in performance does not hinder its overall capabilities, making it a reliable choice for drone enthusiasts.

    Choosing the Right Connectors

For those unfamiliar with connectors, the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V3 uses pH 2.0 connectors. These connectors are essential for ensuring a secure and reliable connection between the drone and its components. It is important to choose the right connectors to optimize the performance and longevity of your drone.

A Recommended Charger for Whoop Season

If you are just getting into whoop season and require a reliable charger, the V fly whoop star 3 is highly recommended. This charger provides convenience with its built-in fan for heat dissipation and DC and AC inputs for versatile charging options. Investing in a six-in-one charger like this will ensure that you can easily and efficiently charge your drone batteries.

    Quality Nitro Nacto Batteries

The Nitro Nacto batteries have proven to be a satisfying choice for drone pilots. These batteries offer reliable performance and durability. Unlike other batteries, they have demonstrated better longevity and performance, making them a preferred option for drone enthusiasts. Say goodbye to unreliable batteries such as those from eachine, and opt for the superior performance of Nitro Nacto batteries.
