So you basically just drag onto your footage, and that is it, it’s done. And the final one, if you ever got to a location and you keep doing the same drone moves again and again, so you just fly the Drone forward, maybe sideways or a top-down shot. You forget about all these other different drone moves and you want to learn the complex ones. Well, I’ve just brought out my ultimate drone moves cheat sheets as well. These are a physical product, shipped straight to you, free shipping, and these go through all the different Dr. moves. They show you on diagrams exactly what to do on your controllers, so you can go to any location, get these out of your camera bag, and actually then practice some of the more complex drone moves like a rotation push in which is really difficult to do, but it explains to you exactly what to do. Downsides of the DJI Mini 4 Pro
The first downside of the DJI Mini 4 Pro isn’t necessarily something which is a huge negative, but it’s actually the camera. So again, it’s an f1.7 aperture on here, which is fantastic for low light and nighttime videos. Yeah, we want loads of light coming into that sensor now, but in the daytime, having all of this light coming in, it means one of two things: either one, you’re going to leave it in Auto and the Drone will just bump that shutter speed really high to compensate for all of that light.
This can sometimes result in overexposed footage, or if you’re wanting to manually set your ISO and aperture, you’re gonna have to either put an ND filter on here to bring that light down or you’re gonna have to massively bump up your shutter speed to achieve a normal exposure. And that can sometimes mean if you’re filming in 4K at 60 frames per second and you’ve got your ISO at 100, 200, and your aperture as low as it can go, you’re shooting at 2,000 or 4,000 of a second. Essentially, your footage is gonna look a little bit staccato. It’s gonna look like it’s missing frames. Now that is a nightmare for editing. It is difficult to color grade and to use in post-production. So just bear that in mind with the DJI Mini 4 Pro.
The second downside is the battery life. Now, while the battery life is actually really, really good and I’ve been getting upwards of 30 minutes up to 32 minutes a flight, one of the downsides is there is no battery percentage indicator. So you don’t actually know how much battery life you’ve got left on the app or when you’re flying. It’s just a random bar that goes down. And my advice to you would be (and also DJI’s advice) is to fly the drone back after 20 minutes and that will give you at least 5 minutes to land safely and to switch the batteries over. So just the lack of battery percentage indicator is a little bit frustrating with the DJI Mini
Adjustable Aperture
One of the key features of the DJI Mini 4 Pro is its adjustable aperture. However, it’s important to note that this feature is not available on the Mini 4 Pro. Unlike the Mavic series where you can adjust the aperture yourself, the Mini 4 Pro has a fixed aperture. This means that you cannot manually control the amount of light entering the camera sensor.

ND filters work by reducing the amount of light entering the sensor, similar to how sunglasses reduce the amount of light entering your eyes. It is highly recommended to use ND filters during daylight to ensure that your footage is not overexposed and maintains a pleasing look. Without an ND filter, your footage may appear too sharp and lack the professional touch.

This version, also known as the “baller plus Edition,” boasts external antennas that greatly improve signal performance. The signal performance in FCC mode is outstanding. However, even in non-FCC mode, the C mode signal performance from this controller is brilliant. It’s equipped with a new chip that makes it much faster and more efficient in terms of menu navigation and changing settings. The only downside I would mention is the screen brightness. Although it remains at 700 nit brightness, which is not bad for most indoor situations, it can become a bit tricky to see the screen clearly in bright outdoor conditions. Overall, using the Mini 4 Pro controller is much easier than relying on your phone, connecting wires, and dealing with additional accessories.
