The DJI Mini 3 performed superbly during my adventure trip. Despite the flimsy build quality, which can be attributed to its lightweight design, the drone flew exceptionally well. The compact size of the Mini 3 made it very convenient to carry around, and it provided excellent aerial footage.

    Remote Controller Experience

Using the DJI remote controller added to the overall flying experience. Although the plastic cover on the controller was a bit flimsy and cumbersome to handle, it did not hinder the performance of the drone. The controller was responsive and easy to use, allowing for seamless navigation and control of the Mini 3.

    Setting Adjustments

When setting up the DJI Mini 3 for capturing footage, I ensured that the firmware was updated to optimize performance. The connection guide on the remote controller was helpful in navigating the different settings and ensuring a smooth operation of the drone. The visual feedback on the controller made it easy to adjust the settings according to my preferences.

    Overall Impression

Despite some minor inconveniences with the build quality of the drone and the remote controller, the DJI Mini 3 proved to be a reliable and efficient tool for capturing aerial footage. Its compact size, ease of use, and impressive performance make it a strong contender for the title of the best mini drone in the market.

    4K Footage Quality

I was shooting in all automatic 4K 50 frames per second sometime at 25 frames per second and uh. When doing so, I was suting it at uh, the dcel like profile. So if you go to this little option here in the camera, you can see uh mov and then I have the dcel like turn on uh. The coding is s. 265, okay, so thats the option. So if you can see that on the screen, its very hard to see that thats, how I captured all of these footage and uh lets go ahead and take a look at some of these footage.

    Subject Tracking

Then all right Im just going to turn that off and also make sure to turn off the Drone itself. All right lets go to the computer screen. Then all right, so first footage that I took uh was uh this footage. So this was actually uh s when I was riding a motorcycle, so you can see Im right here and I was I wanted to use the subject tracking. That is tracking my motorcycle uh, but I couldnt do that because the DJI mini3 couldnt figure out uh. You know the tracking, and also since I was flying sideways, I was very close to these uh trees, as you can see, so that was not a very comfortable situation, so I didnt use this footage uh.

    Obstacle Avoidance

One thing that I miss about this drone is 360 obstacle avoidance and thats, something that I do not have with this drone.

    Mountain Pass Footage

The footage taken at a mountain pass with the DJI Mini 3 Pro came out really well. The drone flew perfectly at an elevation of almost 2600 meters. The shot captured from the drone displayed the picturesque view of the mountain pass and showcased its smooth flying capabilities.

    Flyby Shot

Another shot captured using the DJI Mini 3 Pro was a flyby shot. Although the drone was unable to track the motorcycle due to the distance, the footage was still stunning. The drone was controlled by the pilot to move forward, resulting in a smooth and visually pleasing video. The footage was recorded at 50 frames per second and later edited to create a slow-motion effect.

    Waterfall Footage

The drone was also used to capture footage of a beautiful waterfall. The lack of wind allowed the drone to fly smoothly and capture the waterfall in all its glory. The footage was later compiled and edited into a video, showcasing the stunning aerial view of the waterfall from the drone’s perspective.

    Flight Experience

Controlling the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone was an absolute joy while riding a motorcycle using the fabulous RC dzii RC remote control with a built-in screen. The sports mode on the drone allowed for a fast and exhilarating flight experience, capturing stunning footage of the landscape below. The drone’s agility and speed made it easy to follow a motorbike and even maneuver through windy roads.

    Cinematic Shots

One of the key features of the DJI Mini 3 Pro is its ability to capture cinematic shots with ease. Whether it be following a subject or creating a static shot, the drone excelled in providing high-quality footage. The drone’s stability and precision allowed for smooth and professional-looking shots, making it a versatile tool for filmmakers and content creators.

    Portability and Durability

The lightweight design of the DJI Mini 3 Pro makes it ideal for travel and outdoor adventures. Its compact size and portability allow for easy transportation, making it convenient to carry and fly in various locations. Additionally, the drone’s durability ensures that it can withstand rugged environments, such as hiking up a mountain or flying in challenging weather conditions.

    Overall Impression

In conclusion, the DJI Mini 3 Pro is undoubtedly a top contender for the best mini drone on the market. With its impressive flight capabilities, cinematic shooting options, portability, and durability, this drone is a must-have for anyone looking to capture stunning aerial footage. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional filmmaker, the DJI Mini 3 Pro delivers exceptional performance and quality, making it a standout choice in the world of mini drones.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Field Review

So this one. We use the object tracking in here and then just do a quick, quick shot. Maneuver of the Drone fly around and what I wanted to show here is uh. You know I just left it on autopilot. In other word, right, just taking a look at the RC footage and what we wanted to show is the to reveal a town beneath this mountain and that town is known as Jiri its a beautiful town.

Travel Video on Nepal 360 Channel

You can take a look at the travel video uh that we have created on our Channel Nepal 360. So if you just go through this video one more time, so you can see thats the town of uh jiri down there. We hiked all the way up to this region, uh towards the beautiful Cheese Factory. A government run fac, so you can see that I was carrying the same exact uh pouch, the Drone bag.

    Battery Life and Durability

With a couple of batteries and uh speaking of batteries, the battery lasted pretty good okay, giving me on average, 20 to 25 minutes of battery per charge, per battery, and that was uh. That was a breeze. So if you are using mini tree, I highly recommend like getting a combo pack.

    Maneuverability and Obstacle Avoidance

This footage, as you can see, we were hiking up the mountain and because the Drone is so small, I could actually fly it through this canopy. In other words, if the visitation, I turn off all the obstacle up.

    Stunning Cinematic Shots

The result came out surprisingly well because it’s giving you the cinematic look of the drone following us, hiking up the mountain. I didn’t use any kind of tracking features on this drone because I didn’t find that quite reliable in my testing. So I just manually flew this drone up the mountain. The beauty of this drone is its lightweight, portable design, allowing you to take it anywhere without feeling burdened.

    Exploring the Cheese Factory

We flew the drone from the Cheese Factory, capturing some friendly staff and showcasing the location up the beautiful mountain. The altitude of around 2700 meters provided a stunning backdrop, and the DJI Mini 3 flew beautifully in this setting.

    Classic Reveal Shots

One of the shots involved pointing the gimbal down on the ground to reveal the town of Ziri below. Slowly tilting the gimbal up, the town of Jiri, situated at an altitude of 2000 meters, came into view. This little hike allowed us to climb almost 700 meters, showcasing the capabilities of the DJI Mini 3 Pro.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Field Review

One unique feature of the DJI Mini 3 Pro is its gimbal, which allows for a tilt of up to 60 degrees. This capability gives users a different perspective compared to other drones on the market.

    Impressive Footage

In the footage showcased, the gimbal was used to tilt up, showcasing the drone’s unique ability. This feature sets it apart from other drones, as it eliminates the risk of capturing propellers in the footage.

    Battery Life and Limitations

During a demonstration, the reviewer noted running out of battery while flying the Mini 3 Pro at an altitude of 3000 meters. The limitations of the drone became evident as it struggled to climb higher to capture a specific mountain in the background.

    Comparison to Mavic 3

Though the Mini 3 Pro has its limitations, the reviewer also mentioned missing a Mavic 3 due to its faster speed, longer battery life, and superior climbing capabilities. The DJI RC controller’s range was highlighted as a strong point, despite the drone’s limitations.

    Connection Stability

During the field test of the DJI Mini 3 Pro, there was a noticeable absence of any drop in connection. The stability of the connection between the controller and the drone was impressive, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted flight experience.

    Limitations in Altitude and Speed

One drawback that was encountered during the test was the limited altitude and speed capabilities of the Mini 3 Pro. The drone struggled to ascend rapidly to capture aerial views of the majestic Himalayas in the backdrop. This limitation prevented the full exploration of the drone’s potential.

    Comparison to Mavic 3

It was noted that the Mini 3 Pro lacked the high altitude and speed performance of the Mavic 3. The reviewer expressed a desire to have brought the Mavic 3 along for comparison during the field test, as it may have provided a better aerial perspective of the surroundings.

    Overall Performance

Despite its limitations, the DJI Mini 3 Pro was praised for its overall performance as a drone. It proved to be a capable companion during hiking sessions and other outdoor adventures. The portability and ease of use of the Mini 3 Pro made it a convenient choice for capturing moments on-the-go.
