    DJI Air 3 | A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is a drone that has been gaining a lot of attention lately. It is a great drone for those who want to get outside and explore the world from a different perspective. For this review, I decided to take the Air 3 out for a spin and see what it is capable of.

    The Setup

I was a bit limited in my setup as I had forgotten my 16mm pancake lens for vlogging. I had to make do with a 35mm lens, which is not ideal. I also did not have any ND filters for the drone, so I had to make do with what I had.

    The Flight

I took the Air 3 out for a spin and was immediately impressed with its performance. It was easy to control and the footage was surprisingly good, considering I was shooting in the middle of the day. The drone was able to stay stable in the wind and the image quality was great.

The DJI Air 3 has been making waves in the drone industry, and for good reason. The 70 millimeter lens is impressive, and provides a unique perspective that many drones are not able to offer. The multiple lens feature has been around for a while, but for many, this is the first time they have been able to experience it. The two Optical zooms are a great addition, and make this drone stand out from the rest.

The performance and flight of the DJI Air 3 is something that really sets it apart from other drones. It is able to descend quickly and smoothly, without any of the fluttering or rough sounds that are common with other drones. It is able to descend like a feather, but sink like a rock.

    DJI Air 3 | I A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is a drone that has been making waves in the drone community. I recently had the opportunity to test it out and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite my initial skepticism, I was impressed with the performance of the drone.

    Performance

The DJI Air 3 is a powerful drone that is capable of capturing stunning aerial footage. It is equipped with a 70mm focal length sensor and a wide angle lens, allowing for a wide range of shots. I was able to capture some beautiful footage with the drone, despite the challenging conditions of 2pm sun in North Carolina.

    Image Quality

The image quality of the DJI Air 3 is quite good. The colors are vibrant and the images are sharp. However, I did notice that the colors of the 70mm focal length sensor and the wide angle lens were slightly different, which required some tweaking in post-production.

    DJI Air 3 | I A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is a great drone for filmmakers and photographers who want to capture unique perspectives. The 70mm lens on the drone allows for shots that would usually only be seen from a helicopter, such as tight tracking shots. This makes it ideal for capturing action shots, such as someone running a marathon or riding a bike.

    Color Matching

One of the biggest challenges of using a drone for filmmaking is getting the colors to match with the rest of the footage. The DJI Air 3 has a color calibration feature that allows users to easily match the colors of the drone footage to the footage from their other cameras, such as the C70 and R6 Mark II. This makes it easier to get a consistent look across all of the footage.

    Compression

The 70mm lens on the DJI Air 3 also allows for more compression than a 20mm lens. This means that the footage will have more detail and clarity, which is especially important for action shots. The compression also helps to create a more cinematic look to the footage.

    DJI Air 3 | I A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is a great drone for those looking to capture stunning aerial shots. With its 24mm wide-angle lens and 70mm telephoto lens, it is perfect for capturing both wide-angle and close-up shots. The wide-angle lens is great for capturing landscapes and wide vistas, while the telephoto lens is perfect for capturing distant subjects.

The Air 3 also features a range of tracking features, such as ActiveTrack 3.0 and Point of Interest 3.0. These features allow the drone to automatically follow and track a subject, making it easier to capture dynamic shots.

I personally don’t use a lot of the tracking features, as I prefer to manually control the drone. The telephoto lens is what I find most useful, as it allows me to capture unique perspectives that I wouldn’t normally get. For example, I was able to capture the cityscape of Raleigh, which was about 17 miles away, with the 70mm lens.

The Air 3 also features a range of other features, such as obstacle avoidance, QuickShot modes, and a powerful battery. These features make the drone easier to use and more reliable, allowing users to capture stunning aerial shots with ease.

Overall, the DJI Air 3 is an excellent drone for those looking to capture stunning aerial shots. With its range of features and lenses, it is perfect for capturing both wide-angle and close-up shots. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced drone user, the Air 3 is sure to provide you with an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

    DJI Air 3 | A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is a powerful drone with a range of features that make it a great choice for those looking to take their aerial photography to the next level. The drone features object tracking and subject tracking, as well as pre-made shots and orbiting capabilities. This makes it a great tool for those who are looking to capture stunning aerial shots without having to manually control the drone.

    Object and Subject Tracking

The DJI Air 3 is equipped with advanced object and subject tracking capabilities. This allows the drone to automatically follow a subject or object, making it easy to capture dynamic shots without having to manually control the drone. This is particularly useful for those who are shooting solo, as it allows them to capture shots that would otherwise be impossible.

    48 Megapixel Sensor

The DJI Air 3 also features a 48 megapixel sensor, allowing users to capture stunning images with a high level of detail. This makes it a great choice for those who are looking to capture detailed images for roof inspections or other purposes. The high resolution also allows for more cropping ability in post-processing, giving users more flexibility when editing their photos.

    DLOG-M

The only drawback to the DJI Air 3 is that it does not feature full DLOG support. Instead, it features DLOG-M, which is still a good option for those looking to capture high-quality footage. However, it would be nice to have the full DLOG support for those who are looking to get the most out of their footage.

    DJI Air 3 | A “Drone Hater’s” Review

The DJI Air 3 is the latest drone to hit the market, and it has been met with a lot of excitement. But what does a “drone hater” think of it? After testing the drone, here is my review.

    Price

I understand that DJI has to price their drones differently to make sure people buy the more expensive models. However, this does mean that the Air 3 is missing some features that would have been nice to have.

    Color Grading

The footage from the Air 3 graded better than my Mavic Mini 3 Pro. The footage felt more premium and didn’t have as much digital artifacting. I haven’t tested it in low light yet, but I plan to do more testing once I get ND filters.

It also has a Return to Home feature that allows it to return to its starting point if it loses connection with the controller.

    Features and Functionality

The DJI Air 3 has a number of features that make it a great drone for aerial photography and video recording. It has a Follow Me mode that allows it to follow the user as they move. It also has a Point of Interest mode that allows it to circle around an object of interest. The drone also has a Waypoint mode that allows it to fly along a predetermined path.

The DJI Air 3 has a range of features that make it great for aerial photography and videography. It has an obstacle avoidance system that helps to avoid collisions, and it also has a range of intelligent flight modes that make it easy to capture stunning footage.
