What’s in the Box?
I’ve had mine for about 3 months now, and I have not run into any problems so let’s check it out. In the box, you get the Cetus X drone itself, along with a charger, four batteries, and four props. Additionally, you receive the V3 goggle and the Light Radio 3.
The V3 Goggle
The V3 goggle comes with an omni antenna that is honestly trash, so we just threw that away and started using the Foxeer lollipop antenna, which made a significant difference in performance. With the Foxeer lollipop antenna, you can go much farther and navigate through trees with ease. The goggles also have onboard DVR, but you will need to get an SD card to use this feature. Another handy feature is the auto scan, which is great for beginners.
Light Radio 3
I’ve heard some people have had problems with the Light Radio 3, but personally, I haven’t encountered any issues. The remote comes with unique eye-catching designs and provides a smooth control experience. To prevent dropping the remote, I also purchased the RadioLink lanyard, which comes in handy, especially when getting up and down frequently. The Light Radio 3 can also be used with simulators on your PC, which is highly recommended for practicing flying skills.
Flight Experience
The Cetus X drone is pretty basic in terms of function but offers a smooth flying experience. I have logged around 170 hours with it, and it has performed well. Flying with simulators before taking the drone out is crucial as it helps improve skills and reduce the risk of crashing. The drone also supports multiplayer and other cool features, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced pilots.
Drone Durability
Now so here’s a drone, I mean I’ve crashed it a whole bunch and it’s still intact. Everything still works, it’s still the same drone I got from the factory. You can make it last, you can.
Battery Options
The Drone comes with four batteries, all 450 milliamp. I bought a light buo bag just in case. I also bought the 550 mamp hour batteries.
Gaming PC Requirement
The most important part is you’re going to need a good gaming PC in order to run all the simulators and in order to get betaflight to customize your drone. If you don’t know what betaflight is, you’re going to have to look up Joshua Bardwell, he’s kind of the guru on that sort of thing. You’re going to learn something today.
