Initial Impressions
A company called Bune sent me one of their drones to do a review video. The drone is priced at $500 and boasts a compact design with 4K resolution, according to the claims. It comes with two batteries, extra propellers, and a nice carrying purse.
Unboxing and Charging Hassles
When I started unboxing the drone and attempted to test it out, I discovered that the battery was dead out of the box. It took a frustrating 6 hours to charge each battery, which was unexpected for a drone in this price range. I was hoping for fast charging capabilities considering the features it offered.
Performance Testing
During my trial flights, I encountered some issues. I crashed the drone twice and found that the smart features did not work as expected. Despite the compact design and promised functionalities, the drone did not live up to my expectations during testing.
Unboxing the F7 gb2
The Drone is the F7 gb2 and we can to unbox it today. Lets check it out, Music, all right so unboxing experience lets. Do it its wrapped with this uh thin plastic come on very strong, thin plastic. Okay, all right! Okay, got a box, got my old razor blade right here and another box. Thats usual, it is always a box inside of the box. I dont know why people unbox things are still surprised when they see a box in the box, but yeah there. You go guys.
The Packaging
Thats the norm, it is actually a really nice box kind of like stainless dark stainless. Here we go bune B1 shoot clear night scenes its a pretty nice box, Ill, be honest, all right, 3axis, stabilized gimbal, 4K Wi, Fi, camera excellent night scene. Shooting function super long, remote control and fpv transmission distance.
What’s Inside
Its in a zip looc Ziploc bag. What do we got here? User manual, quick, start guide. Well, read that later OMG. This is a really nice bag. I can probably take this kayaking and just put it in here. We got some cup holders here or whatever you want to put in here, like, like your wallet, your phone same thing on the other side, its a nice bag. Sheesh. Oh, we got more space here yep. I was a little bit skeptical because Im like okay. I want to take this while Im kayak fishing.
Unboxing the Drone
Where am I going to put it guess what it has a nice bag? Nice all right? What is this? Okay got this little nice padding here, and this is my first time seeing this and it looks nice. This is my second drone in my lifetime. I had a um DJI Phantom 3 standard and I love it now. I got a bune F7. My very second drone. Ever and its really small, so here it is the B F7 gb2 all right.
Exploring the Drone
I dont know how to use this thing yet, but okay, so this should flip this way. Am I breaking something? No Im not! I am not breaking anything. Oh. This is pretty damn stiff, which is good here we go, and this one goes this one go this way here we go. I am pretty damn excited about this. My first well yeah my first tiny drone, my second drone, but my first tiny one.
Camera Quality
So we got this uh camera protector right here. I feel like Im going to break it. Oh here we go all right and lets remove this little thing right here. Everybody does that some reason satisfying they said comment down below all right: okay, cool. We got that 4k camera. They claimed theres a 4k camera well find out. I guess we turn it on pressing the button. Oh yeah uh, oh uh, oh, come on gimbal! Do your job gimbal come on man! All right well got the controller.
Initial Impressions
I have to turn it on. First all right, the controller looks like this and I think there’s an app for it and, of course, I’m going to have to show you this. You know everybody does that every time they peel something off needs to be on the camera. Sorry about my fingers. I’ve been fishing all day by the way subscribe to my fishing channel, salty hooker. I’m going to put it on the card. Let’s turn it on.
Charging the Drone
Oh the battery’s dead. Well, go figure. I’m going to have to charge this first and uh. Well, see you later. So finally, the Drone is fully charged – I am here at Ormund Beach, Florida right now.
Testing the Drone
This is the day that we are going to test out this drone. Back in the garage, believe it or not. This is actually my garage. This is my wife’s backdrop right here for her photography, so cool backdrop. So yesterday I used it. I flew out, I don’t know how far I went but the transmission, the video transmission went away. I was just stuck in one photo. It went pretty far. Actually, it was pretty impressive until you know everything started lagging so I hit return home.
Initial Impressions
I can hear the Drone returning home, but I was waiting for the video transmission to come back. It did not come back, but the good thing is it actually stopped right above me. When it tried to land, I just grabbed it, so the return home function works pretty well. I decided to try flying it again and test out some of the smart features such as circling around and follow me mode.
Smart Features Performance
The circling around feature did not work as expected, and the drone almost wrecked when I tried to use the GPS follow mode. Despite trying it in an open road setting, the drone kept veering off course. Additionally, the motion tracking feature did not function properly for me, despite having past experience flying drones, including a DJI drone.
Flight Experience
On the third attempt at taking off, I pushed the throttle, but the drone ended up landing unexpectedly due to gimbal calibration issues. The gimbal was consistently struggling and hitting the ground, causing some inconvenience during the flight. Despite my familiarity with flying drones, I encountered difficulties in handling this particular model.
Drone Testing Experience
This camera keeps hitting the bottom all right. Taking off again lets see what happens, pushing the throttle there. It is there, it is thats what happened yeah. It keeps for some reason it keeps going back.
Calibration Issues
It happened when I did this in my garage perfectly level surface and it keeps going back. I already calibrated this drone for some reason it likes crashing all right lets. Try it again, maybe its just my stupid fault, now shes in a perfectly level surface nothings around it lets turn on the motor y. The motor is on lets. Take off you see that tilt.
Flight Performance
If I take off it goes, It goes sideways, it goes backward. It keeps going to its uh left side, well its on my right, if Im looking at it but um yeah having a hard time taking off on this drone, but so far she flies pretty good.
Camera Quality
The features didn’t work for me and the worst thing about this drone is they claim that this thing can shoot 4K theres no way this thing can shoot. 4K. The camera looks like a 25 year old point and shoot camera its not 4K, so they have the 2.7k resolution, its just a punch in version of the 4K 20 FPS on a 4K 30 FPS on a 2.7k, the 4K looks like its a 720p, probably worse Than 720p, because I can shoot 720p on my DSLR camera and GoPro and it looks way better than this and they have the night mode feature.
Initial Impression
When I received the free drone for review, I had high hopes but unfortunately, I was left disappointed. The drone seemed to have a retail value of around $500, which I found to be a bit steep considering its performance.
Flight Performance
The drone was capable of flying well, with features such as return home and auto takeoff working smoothly. However, I found that the manual takeoff was a bit challenging, as the drone seemed to struggle with maintaining a straight and steady flight path.
Camera Quality
One of the major drawbacks of the drone was the camera quality. The footage captured by the camera was low in quality, especially when compared to drones from other brands such as DJI. Drones that are priced lower than this one were able to produce better quality videos with more advanced features.
Potential Uses
Despite its shortcomings, the drone still had some potential uses. It could be utilized for activities such as fishing, where the drone could be used to fly bait out and drop it in specific locations. Additionally, it could be used for property inspections or checking out a large estate.
Quality
The Bo F7 drone is suitable for surveillance of your property and for basic videography or photography purposes. It is a good flying drone that can withstand windy conditions. The controls are responsive, making it easy to maneuver the drone.
Battery Life
The drone’s battery lasts approximately 25 minutes, providing a decent amount of flight time per charge. This allows users to capture footage without the need for frequent recharges.
Camera and Features
One area where the Bo F7 drone falls short is in its camera quality. The camera performance is not up to par, resulting in subpar video and image quality. Additionally, the drone lacks advanced features that are commonly found in drones in a similar price range.
Pricing
Considering the performance and features of the Bo F7 drone, the price point may not be justified. If the drone is priced at $250, as mentioned in the review, it may not offer sufficient value for money compared to other options on the market.
Recommendation
While the reviewer acknowledges the gesture of receiving the drone for review purposes, they ultimately do not recommend the Bo F7 drone. Despite the appreciation for the opportunity to test the product, the review highlights the shortcomings of the drone in terms of camera quality, features, and pricing.
The Free Drone
The company Bwine recently sent me a free drone to review. I was excited to try out this new product and see how it compared to other drones on the market. The drone came in a sleek black box with the Bwine logo on it. Inside, the drone was neatly packaged with all the necessary accessories and instructions.
First Impressions
Upon opening the box, I was impressed by the design of the drone. It had a modern and sleek look, with a matte black finish. The build quality felt sturdy and durable, which was reassuring. Setting up the drone was easy, as the instructions were clear and straightforward.
Performance
I took the drone out for a test flight in the park. The drone was easy to control and responded well to my commands. The camera quality was decent, capturing clear footage from high above. The drone had a good range and battery life, allowing for longer flight times. Overall, I was pleased with the performance of the drone.
Pros and Cons
One of the main pros of this drone is its ease of use. It is perfect for beginners and experienced users alike. The camera quality is good for the price point, making it a great option for capturing aerial footage. However, one downside is the lack of advanced features compared to other drones on the market. The drone does not have obstacle avoidance or follow me modes, which may be a drawback for some users.
After trying out the Bune drone and experiencing its performance firsthand, I can say that it did not meet my expectations. The unboxing and review attempts, as well as the flight testing, revealed shortcomings in its functionality and reliability. Despite its 4K resolution and additional features, the drone failed to impress me with its performance and usability.
The review of the Bo F7 drone emphasizes the importance of honest feedback when evaluating products. While the drone may have its strengths in terms of flight performance and battery life, the overall package may not meet the expectations of users looking for a reliable and feature-rich drone.
Overall, I was impressed with the Bwine drone. It is a solid option for those looking for a reliable and easy-to-use drone for recreational use. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end drones, it gets the job done well. I would recommend this drone to anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of aerial photography and videography. #f7gb2
