Testing the Camera Angle and Motors

This is flat and I think the camera angle is pretty close to what I desire. Let’s see how it performs. Upon testing, the drone flies smoothly and I am satisfied with the camera angle. The motors are slightly warm, which is expected after flying. Overall, everything seems to be in good condition and ready for further testing.

    Checking the ESC and Standoffs

After stopping the drone, I inspect the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and the standoffs. They feel fine, and I have no concerns regarding their functionality. The ESC is heat-resistant, and the standoffs provide stability. With these preliminary checks, I am confident that everything is working well, and we can proceed to the next step.

    Impressions of Speed and Efficiency

The first impression of the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv is that it is incredibly fast. During the test flight, it gave me an impressive 3 minutes and 40 seconds of flight time. This duration does not even include the initial part of the flight, so the total might be around 4 minutes. In comparison, my previous drone only lasted for 3 minutes. This indicates that the AOS Supernova is more efficient, which is a great advantage.

Unfortunately, I do not have a GPS installed on the drone, so I cannot provide an exact measurement of its speed. However, it feels significantly faster compared to my previous drone. The sustained speed and agility make the AOS Supernova a remarkable choice for racing enthusiasts. I am thoroughly impressed with its performance so far.

    Future GPS Testing

To have a more accurate measure of the drone’s speed, I plan to install a GPS soon. This will allow me to track and record its top speed. In the next part of this review, I will give an update on how fast the AOS Supernova can go. Stay tuned for the exciting results!

I am eager to explore the capabilities of the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv further. With its impressive speed and efficiency, this custom racing drone is shaping up to be a top performer. Join me in the next part of this review as we push the limits of this drone and uncover its full potential.

Initial Testing with AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv

Today, we are excited to review the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv motor on our custom racing drone. This highly anticipated motor promises to provide exceptional performance and power, perfect for those seeking an adrenaline-fueled flying experience. Let’s dive right into our initial testing!

    Testing the Gampb Battery

To start off, we decided to test the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv motor with the Gampb battery. The battery boasts a 240c rating, which suggests high performance levels. We were eager to see how this combination would perform in action.

    A Surprising Start

As we connected the Gampb battery to the motor, we couldn’t help but feel a tinge of excitement. We armed the drone and gently throttled up. Suddenly, the motor sprang to life with an unexpected snap, catching us off guard momentarily. However, it quickly became apparent that we had misjudged the force of the motor, as it continued to run smoothly and powerfully.

    Reassurance in Durability

Initially, we were concerned that the sudden snap may have caused damage to the motor. However, we quickly realized that it was merely the initial burst of power that took us by surprise. The AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv motor proved its durability by seamlessly recovering from the sudden acceleration, showing no signs of any adverse effects.

The Power of AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv

As we continued our flight testing, it became evident that the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv motor packs quite a punch. The acceleration was remarkably swift, allowing us to achieve impressive speeds in no time. The drone responded promptly to every throttle input, showcasing the motor’s excellent responsiveness.

    Conclusion

In this first part of our review of the AOS Supernova 2207 1980kv motor, we experienced the raw power and durability that it brings to our custom racing drone. Despite our initial surprise, the motor proved to be resilient and delivered outstanding performance. Stay tuned for the next part of our review, where we will further explore the capabilities of this motor in different flying scenarios!
