Excitement Overload
In fact, I’m excited, probably never been this excited. So last weekend I hid the kids eggs outside in the backyard Saturday night, so everything would be prepared for the following day. So we sent them out to get their eggs Easter morning. They didn’t bother to mention that something like this was out in the backyard waiting for me, and I didn’t think I had anything back there. So I didn’t look until this afternoon and there it is in the middle of my backyard, it’s literally from the Easter Bunny.
Unboxing Experience
What it says is new drone and then new drone, which I guess is the brand. It says two angry unboxer with a little heart. It says not new drone but that’s crossed out and it’s from the Easter Bunny. So it’s got to be legit, plus it’s got this really cool Easter, bunny lady laser tape that no one else can get besides the Easter Bunny. So I know it’s factory sealed by the Easter Bunny and I’m about to get to work.
Preparation
You can see that I’m more than prepared for this little Adventure, probably to start, I might use the Sharpie knifey thing with yeah, it’s very sharp. I should probably look that up. I was thinking, though, that maybe the Easter Bunny locked himself Inside the Box somehow and I think before I do anything I’m going to drill some air holes just in case in there.
Excitement Turns to Frustration
Oh sorry, I don’t know what that was there. You got lots of air holes. You should be good now, okay, so what was I thinking? Um? Probably this. That probably makes sense. I hate cutting you, the Easter Bunny special t. I guess I’ve got to get to the package I’m so excited I’ve never had a new drone before and it’s from the Easter Bunny wow and it comes packed in a garbage bag that is classy it’s lemon scented.
Initial Impressions
Oh, this is beautiful. Oh my God. This is amazing, I can’t believe I’ve got my own drone. I think I’ll do this, so it’s a zym drone. I don’t know what that means, but uh I’m sure it’s got to be pretty good, though so. The first thing I notice is that the propeller is a little bit screwed up here, so I’m just going to do a a little bit of um I’m not quite sure what tool to use, I guess I’ll. Try the pliers try to straighten that out a little bit okay.
Safety First
So now it should fly just perfect. I do want to check the battery. Sometimes when you’re doing maintenance, you should take out the battery it’s just safer. That way, you never know what will happen. Okay, so buy battery, and now that we’re talking safety, we’ve got duct tape, safe new gloves, safe Hammer, Rusty railroad, spike, Easter Bunny, helmet lampshade. Oh, the other evidence I found were laser Easter Eggs.
Easter Drone Appearance:
Only the Easter BN think we get those theres no way and four chocolate coins further proof lets. Take a look, looks pretty good for a not quite new drone. I do notice that its very faded. It looks like its been out in the sun for about 10 years, and now that I take a closer look at actually uh. This drone is more than 10 years old um. At the time it was constructed. It was easily uh in the time top 30 for drones under 20. So this was a pretty good drone back. You know 10 years ago, so I think he just kind of needs. A haircut. I got all these things sticking out. I dont think we need those thats just going to thats just going to snag something like power, pole or something.
Drone Inspection:
Okay. There we go. Oh all right, buddy all right lets lets see how you tick wow wow. This is so exciting. I cant believe this. What do I even do? Um first, I think Ill put on my safety gloves and Im, not sure about the goggles Im thinking I might want to wear a mask because the Easter Bunny could have Co. You never know. Okay, um. This mask is making it hard to breathe okay now. What else are we going to do with this drone? Besides, give it a haircut and uh just kind of figure out the different parts and how they work? Um lets see Im not sure what I would do with this.
Tuning the Propeller
We could see what would happen if we just stuck this in here twist it around. Oh, not much um. Now that Ive tuned that propeller, I think its time to see what we need to do about getting this guy back into shape. I think I really need to get maximum Jaws on this thing. Okay, Im just going to tighten this down just a little bit, not quite that much okay, a little carried away. There we go now this should this should fly much better.
Adding Weight for Stability
Now, okay, I think just to make sure everything stays the same Ill put. This clamp on that should really help um, especially with the Tailwind. I think this this additional weight will really really help now to get this bottom hatch open. What you got to do is take your uh, your chisel. This is about an inch wide chisel and then your ball P pen Hammer give it about 12 good wax till that happens. Then you know youre done.
Camera Upgrade
Oh, oh one thing: the uh camera for this particular model. Didnt come in the package, it came by wolf um. Mr Wolf has a secret pouch and he keeps things and theres a cable. Oh right, no or something else. Oh there, it is theres the camera. Thank you, Mr Wolf. All right goodbye. Okay, now this camera is amazing. So back in uh 2017, this was probably your 50th best camera on the market. So as far as quality, oh youve seen nothing like this, and the way it stands up to abuse is just.
Initial Setup
Oh unparalleled so how this works. Is it plugs right into the thing that says plug, believe it or not, that’s where the camera goes, then it slides in here and slides in here now. That’s not working right, oh there it is okay. Now, what we want to do is make sure we’re tight and the camera is able to move into different positions so just going to snug up this little nut underneath the camera. Oh, no! Oh! Okay! Let me pick that up. Oh, no, I think I’ve tightened that too much I don’t know I think it’s all going to fly just fine um just needs a little bit more work, um railroad, spike. You think that’s too much well, I guess we’re going to find out.
Testing the Drone
I feel like I’m working on the railroad. Okay, now stir this around a little bit alright, wiggle it around. Now. Everything should be well lubricated, but I am going to add a little bit of three in one oil just to make sure everything very well lubricated because you can never have too much lubrication when it comes to drones and so far I’m going to give this big Boy, at least a D minus stands up to pretty rugged, rugged, circumstances.
