Drone technology has advanced significantly in recent years, and one of the most talked-about models in the market today is the Cfly Faith 2S. Priced in the range of 4 million Indonesian rupiahs, this drone promises a variety of features that make it worth considering for drone enthusiasts. In this review, we will explore the capabilities of the Cfly Faith 2S and analyze its performance in the year 2023.

Review of Cfly Faith 2S Drone in 2023

    All the Necessary Accessories

The Cfly Faith 2S drone comes with a 100mAh remote control, charger, and of course, the drone itself. It also has a micro SD slot for storing photos and videos with a maximum capacity of up to 128GB. Before you start using it, you need to download the Shifly Fet 2 app on your smartphone.

    Getting Started

To start flying the drone, you first need to attach the propellers and the camera protector. Don’t forget to insert the battery into the drone and turn it on by pressing the button on the battery for about 2 seconds. Then, you need to turn on the remote control by pressing the power button for about 2 seconds. Connect your smartphone to the remote control using a USB data cable. Once connected, open the Shifly Fet 2 app. If it’s your first time using the app, you’ll need to register and create an account with your email.

    Calibration and Take-Off

Before taking off, it’s important to calibrate the drone, especially if it’s your first time flying it. Go to the general settings on the app, then click on compass calibration, and follow the steps shown on the app. Once calibration is successful, click “done” and then “close”. To take off, you can click on the “one key take off” button on the app.

    Maximum Flight Distance and Duration

According to the specifications, the Cfly Faith 2S drone is claimed to have a maximum flight distance of 5km. However, the actual distance can be affected by signal transmission between the drone and the remote control, as well as environmental factors such as buildings, trees, and transmission towers. So far, I have tested it up to a maximum distance of 1km in urban areas, which is quite impressive. The drone is also claimed to have a maximum flight duration of 35 minutes, but in my experience, it usually lasts around 20 minutes.

    Camera Quality and Settings

The camera of the Cfly Faith 2S drone has a 4K resolution and uses a Sony Ambarella A12 1/3-inch sensor. This results in high-quality videos. The camera settings, including resolution, exposure, white balance, and ISO, can be adjusted through the app. You can also move the camera up and down using the slider on the remote control. The zoom function can be activated by pressing the FN button and sliding the slider to the left or right. The drone also has a sport mode for faster movement.

    Low-Light Performance

Despite the relatively small sensor size of the drone’s camera, the video quality in low-light conditions is still impressive. The Cfly Faith 2S drone manages to capture clear and detailed footage even at night.

    Smart Features

The Cfly Faith 2S drone is equipped with smart features such as waypoint, rocket, drony, helix, and orbit modes. These features allow for more creative and dynamic shots while flying the drone.

Overall, the Cfly Faith 2S drone offers a range of advanced features and capabilities at a competitive price. Its user-friendly app

    Follow Me Feature

One prominent feature of the Cfly Faith 2S is its “Follow Me” capability. This function allows the drone to track and follow the user based on their GPS location on their smartphone. However, it is important to note that in the two latest versions of the accompanying app, there are two different options for the Follow Me feature. The first option requires the user to hold the remote control while the drone follows them. While this may be convenient for some, it limits the drone’s functionality as the user needs to juggle the remote and any other task simultaneously. Additionally, it seems that the visual follow feature is only available on the Ved 2 Pro version, leaving the V 2S without this functionality.

    Music Support and Other Features

Apart from the Follow Me feature, the Cfly Faith 2S also boasts other impressive capabilities. Music support is one of these features, allowing users to enjoy their favorite tunes while operating the drone. However, it is worth noting that the visual follow feature, as mentioned earlier, is exclusive to the Ved 2 Pro version. Nonetheless, the drone offers a range of other useful features that enhance the overall flying experience.

    Charging and Battery Life

One aspect that users may find disappointing about the Cfly Faith 2S is its charging mechanism. The drone still relies on a micro USB port for charging, limiting its power intake to a maximum of 10 watts or 5 volts and 2 amps. As a result, it takes a substantial amount of time, approximately 270 minutes, to fully charge the drone. To address this issue, it is advisable to have spare batteries on hand to avoid long waiting times between flights.

    Micro SD Slot

Another area of concern is the micro SD slot of the Cfly Faith 2S, which is extremely narrow. Users must exercise caution when inserting or removing the micro SD card, as the tight slot can make it difficult to access. This is particularly challenging for individuals with larger fingers, making it even more important to handle the micro SD card slot with care.

    Conclusion

In conclusion, the Cfly Faith 2S drone offers a range of features that make it an attractive option for drone enthusiasts in the mid-range price segment. The Follow Me feature, although limited in certain versions, adds convenience and flexibility to the flying experience. While its charging mechanism and micro SD slot may present some challenges, these drawbacks can be managed with careful planning and handling. Overall, the Cfly Faith 2S is a drone that provides a solid performance and value for money in the year 2023.
