If you’re probably now wondering what was that I’ll. Tell you in a minute I’m B and welcome to my channel, which is all about music production, design, and life and all things related.

    Discovering Ultra Sphere

Okay, I won’t be needing these, for a second now tell me: have you ever been stuck finding some decent and huge sounding samples for let’s say your ambient track or the film score you’re creating or even if you found these cool samples? How long did it take? You to mix and and fit all together and record it and track it. What if I tell you that I did this in like 30 seconds yeah, no more than this Sample Logic have released their new plugin called Ultra Sphere, and I think that will make our lives much easier.

    Testing the Plugin

So for the last couple of days, I had an opportunity to test this plugin and push it to the limits to find what’s it all about, but just a little disclaimer Sample Logic did reach out to me and they gave me the plugin to try and give them any feedback if I can, but this video is not sponsored by them. So I get to share my honest opinion about this plugin and that’s how it should be anyway. Shouldn’t it be like all the review videos shouldn’t be sponsored so that’s how it’s going to be on my channel, always okay.

    Passion for Synthesizers

So if you’ve been following my channel for some time now already, you probably know that I really love the synthesizers and I love to make the sounds and samples.

    First Impressions

Upon installing the Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, I was immediately intrigued by the interface that greeted me. The ability to mix samples together using a simple wheel piqued my interest, and I decided to give it a try.

    Creating Unique Drone Sounds

After spending some time with the plugin, I was amazed at how quickly and effortlessly I was able to create incredibly cool and atmospheric drone samples. Whether I was aiming for dark and menacing sounds or something more ethereal, the possibilities seemed endless. What’s more, each sound I created was truly unique, giving me full control over my creations without the need to consult the manual.

    Sample Library and Presets

The Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin comes with an impressive 10 GB of samples, all neatly categorized for easy browsing. With around 180 presets to choose from, finding a starting point for your sound design is a breeze. The ability to filter and customize these presets allows for endless sonic exploration.

    User-Friendly Interface

One of the standout features of the Ultra Sphere plugin is its intuitive interface, which makes sound design a seamless process. Despite the wealth of options and possibilities available, the plugin is user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing for quick and efficient workflow.

    Potential Drawbacks

While I was thoroughly impressed with the Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin, there were a few minor drawbacks that I noticed. However, these issues were outweighed by the plugin’s overall performance and capabilities. With a bit of tweaking and experimentation, I was able to overcome any initial challenges and fully harness the power of Ultra Sphere.

    Introduction to the Plugin

If we start the plugin, it looks just like this, with four different sources. You can mix the sounds coming out of them with various controls like volume, panning, pitch, transpose, and sample starts. The ability to choose different samples and manipulate them opens up a world of possibilities for creating unique drone sounds.

    Customizing the Sounds

With the plugin, you can easily choose which sources to include or exclude, allowing for mix and match capabilities. Muting and soloing individual sources gives you full control over the sound you are creating.

    Deep Level Modifications

For more detailed modifications, you can delve into the envelope settings. Adjusting parameters like attack and sustain can significantly alter the sound output, adding depth and texture to your drones. Filtering high frequencies can also help refine the sound further, allowing for a more polished end result.

    Customizing Samples

We can do that with all the samples as well. We can add some attack to all of them. Music that starts to sound really cool and which one was it? So that was number three. Let’s see. Number three let’s also start a little bit more delicate, like a pad Drone, and let’s add a little tremolo to it.

    Control with LFO

Let’s hear only the source number three, that’s cool. So the tremolo is now controlled by LFO number one. Where are the LFOs? Let’s find them. So we go to mods here, and we have all the LFOs and key modifications and velocity modifications. So which one is it, L one? Let’s double click and have full control over the LFO number one and each one of them in that matters have some other types of the LFO. Okay, let’s see it on sign. We have the speed we can desynchronize it.

    Adjusting Settings

So go really slow, but actually, that was cool if that was in sync. Okay, fade in does need to fade in okay, that’s cool. So we have this core tree. Actually, almost done let’s see if core number – four as it is at the moment. But let’s say, yeah, all good I’m playing some sounds and I need to move this little dive by myself or what so I need to use the mouse or no. You can press the little play and it will go round and around in circles mixing the sounds for Music.

    Customizable Path Options

You can easily adjust the path of the unique drone sounds with Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere. Whether you prefer a circular motion or a square path, the possibilities are endless. Furthermore, you can even create your own path by recording it in real-time. The flexibility in path options allows for a truly personalized sound experience.

    Equalizer Features

The plugin offers an equalizer with all the necessary controls. You can adjust the frequencies of different cores, choose to enhance or cut off certain elements, and customize the overall sound to your liking. With the ability to fine-tune each core, you can achieve a balanced and rich audio output.

    Humanizing Effects

Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere provides various humanizing features such as oscillator drift, timber pitch, and unison settings. These options allow you to add depth and character to your drone sounds, giving them a more organic and natural feel. By exploring the humanizing effects, you can create truly unique and captivating audio compositions.

    Multi-Effect Capabilities

In addition to path customization and equalizer controls, the plugin also offers a range of effects that can be applied to enhance your sounds. With the ability to add up to four effects simultaneously, you can experiment with different combinations to achieve the desired audio texture. From reverbs to delays, the effects in Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere elevate your drone sounds to a whole new level.

    Sending Cores to Effects

You can send each core separately to the effects whichever you like and how many you like. Let’s see core number four. We can send it to 1, 2, 3, 4. This can also be modified, so we can define how much of this signal you want to be sent to each of the effects. We have effects like compressor, bit crusher, chorus, etc. You can choose loads of them as you wish.

    Exploring Effects

Let’s go to the bit crusher on core number four and solo it to hear it a little bit. Then add effect number two, which is chorus. You can adjust and mix all the effects with the cores to create unique sounds. We also have master effects like EQ, tape, delay, etc. Try out different combinations to see what works best for your sound.

    Using Presets

The plugin comes with around 180 presets that are pre-made for your convenience. You can easily filter through them based on the mood or style you are looking for. For example, you can choose a preset that is dark, scary, and has a sequencer motion. The presets provide a quick way to access different soundscapes and textures.

    Exploring the Sequencer

When we delve into the sequencer of the Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin, we find the ability to run through different cores such as Core One, Core Two, and Core Four. It allows for changes in velocity, note length, pitch offset, and much more. The eerie and captivating sounds produced by this plugin are truly remarkable, even with minimal user input.

    Customizing Samples

Changing the samples in the plugin is a breeze. Simply clicking on the name of the sample allows for quick and effortless modifications. Tagging samples by category, such as instrumental, light, or orchestral, adds an extra layer of organization and ease of use. The process of altering samples is intuitive and provides endless possibilities for experimentation.

    Adding Rhythmic Elements

To enhance the sounds further, users can apply rhythmic effects by utilizing the filter and adjusting the LFO settings. Experimenting with different LFO configurations, such as LFO number six, can result in unique and dynamic sounds. The rhythmic capabilities of the plugin allow for endless creative potential and can elevate any composition.

    Potential Improvements

While the Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin stands out for its innovative features and ease of use, there are areas for potential enhancement. One feature that could greatly benefit the plugin is the addition of a granulator. The inclusion of a granulator would open up a new realm of sonic possibilities and push the boundaries of creativity even further.

    Granulation and Synthesizer Features

The Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin offers the exciting possibility to granulate cores or samples, allowing users to manipulate and transform sound in unique and creative ways. This feature opens up a world of sonic exploration and experimentation, making it easy to create original and interesting drone sounds.

In addition to granulation, users have the option to access a synthesizer within the plugin, modeled after analog synthesizers. This feature enables users to generate sine waves and other synthetic sounds, providing even more flexibility and control over the sound design process.

    Custom Sample Integration

One of the standout features of the Ultra Sphere plugin is the ability to import and use custom samples. While the plugin comes loaded with an extensive library of 1500 samples, users have the flexibility to incorporate their own sounds into their compositions. This feature allows for endless possibilities and enables users to truly personalize their music production.

    Limitless Creative Potential

With the Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin, the creative possibilities are endless. Whether you are looking to craft cinematic, scary, or resonating drone sounds, this plugin has got you covered. By combining granulation, synthesis, and the ability to integrate custom samples, users can easily create unique and captivating sounds in a matter of seconds.

    Conclusion

The Sample Logic – Ultra Sphere plugin offers a quick and efficient way to create unique drone sounds in seconds. With its intuitive interface and customizable features, it provides endless possibilities for experimentation and sound design. Whether you’re a seasoned producer or just starting out, this plugin is sure to spark creativity and inspire new musical ideas.
